  • Publication number: 20210130838
Abstract: A non-naturally occurring heterologous CRISPR-Cas12a genomic editing system is described, including or encoding at least one Cas12a ortholog endonuclease selected from among Lb5Cas12a, CMaCas12a, BsCas12a, BoCas12a, M1Cas12a, Mb2Cas12a, MbCas12a TsCas12a, and MAD7 endonucleases. The ortholog endonucleases enable genomic editing of plants at low temperatures, e.g., below 25° C. The CRISPR-Cas12a system can be employed for targeting PAM sites such as TTN, TTV, TTTV, NTTV, TATV, TATG, TATA, YTTN, GTTA, and GTTC, utilizing corresponding gRNAs, and is readily adapted to multiplexed editing operations of plants such as rice and other food crops.

  • Publication number: 20170314033
Abstract: The invention provides the genetically manipulated herbicide-resistant rubber producing dandelion plants and seed of said plants. Another aspect of the invention comprises progeny plants, or seeds, or regenerable parts of plants and seeds of the genetically manipulated herbicide-resistant dandelion plants. Applicants have further found that use of root cells for transformation and other optimized protocols enable quick transformation with high plant regeneration. Further, Applicants have developed the first transformation/regeneration protocol that is successful without the addition of hormone treatment.

  • Patent number: 7560066
Abstract: A composite article that can be used as a substrate for coated conductors is disclosed. The composite substrate has at least three layers in which one or more inner layers of Ni—W alloys with 9 at. %-13 at. % W and two outer layers of Ni—W alloys with 3 at. %-9 at. % W. The content of W element gradually decreases from the inner layers to the outer layers. The composite substrate can be prepared using a process of designing and sintering composite ingot, rolling composite ingot and then annealing composite substrate. The composite substrate have a dominant cube texture on the outer layer of the whole substrate which have a weaker magnetism and higher strength than that of a single Ni-5 at. % W alloy substrate.
