  • Publication number: 20230107524
Abstract: A suspension system of an associated vehicle. The suspension system comprises an outer reservoir tube extending along an axis between a first end and a second end and defining a chamber. A piston assembly is at least partially located in the chamber. The piston assembly includes a piston rod and a piston head. A solenoid assembly is connected to the piston rod. The solenoid assembly comprises a core including a core head and a core body. A spool extends about the core body and defines a space. A coil is wrapped around the spool within the space. An induction plate is at least partially located between the spool and the core head. As the input current is modulated the induction plate promotes the induction of eddy currents opposing the field induction attenuating the force ripples of the magnetic field buildup and decay.

  • Publication number: 20230092746
Abstract: The two-stage valve assembly for a vehicle lift system comprises an outer sleeve extending along an axis between a first end and a second end. A stator is located in the first end and a valve opening is located in the second end. The two-stage valve assembly includes an armature assembly for selectively closing the valve opening and opening the valve opening in a first-stage open position and a second-stage open position. The armature assembly comprises a plunger moveable along the axis that includes a poppet portion having a poppet seal oriented towards the second end. A plunger seat is moveable along the axis and located between the poppet portion and the valve opening. The plunger seat includes a seat seal for sealing against the valve opening. A seat channel extends through the seat seal and the plunger seat and is in fluid communication with the valve opening.

  • Patent number: 10899215
Abstract: A hydraulic mount apparatus comprises a housing having an upper portion and a lower portion and defining a housing chamber. A partition member disposed therein and divides the housing chamber into a pumping chamber and a receiving chamber. A decoupler including a magnetic actuator is attached to the partition member. A moving member is disposed in the pumping chamber and attached to the decoupler. The moving member includes at least two magnetic inserts disposed therein, spaced from one another, to move the moving member from a first position to a second position in response to a magnetic field. The first position is defined as the moving member being spaced from the decoupler. The second position is defined as the moving member being attached to the decoupler.

  • Patent number: 10774941
Abstract: A controlled brake solenoid valve assembly includes a housing defining a channel. An actuating member including an armature and a plunger slidably disposed in the channel. A head portion extends outwardly from the plunger to a distal end. A drawn seat includes a narrowed portion disposed in the channel and defines a first compartment, a shoulder, and a hole. An elastic member disposed in the channel to bias the actuating member away from the drawn seat to define an opened position. The actuating member includes an actuator for moving the plunger from the opened position to a closed position. The distal end includes a restricting member, disposed in the hole, extending outwardly from the distal end, spaced from the terminal end, for providing annular fluid flow. A restricting block defines a restricting orifice having a variable diameter disposed in the first compartment to provide an orifice fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 10690217
Abstract: An assembly for magnetically dynamic damping useful for isolating vibrational forces includes a housing wall bounding a main chamber therein. The assembly further includes a fixed magnetic source disposed in the main chamber. A diaphragm of elastic material is disposed in the assembly impermeably dividing the main chamber into sub-chambers. The diaphragm includes a magnetically actuated element adjacent to the fixed magnetic source. A source of electrical current energizes the magnetically actuated element, the fixed magnetic source, or both and either repels or pulls the magnetically actuated element with respect to the fixed magnetic source. A magnetic guide surrounds the fixed magnetic source and defines a gap exposing the fixed magnetic source to the magnetically actuated element. The magnetic guide routes the magnetic field towards the gap and prevents outward magnetic interference to the rest of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 10612684
Abstract: An electromagnetic valve assembly including a magnetic core defining a channel. A valve seat is received by the channel and defines a compartment. An outflow chamber is defined between the magnetic core and the valve seat. The valve seat defines an orifice that fluidly connects the compartment of the valve seat and the outflow chamber. A tappet is axially moveable to open and close the orifice. The valve seat further defines a check valve orifice fluidly connecting the compartment of the valve seat and the outflow chamber. A ball overlies the check valve orifice. A filter seat is secured to said valve seat. A ball guide is disposed in alignment with the check valve orifice and defines a guide passage that receives the ball for guiding the ball toward and away from said check valve orifice. The guide passage is defined by the valve seat and the filter seat.
