    Abstract: The present invention relates compositions and methods for microRNA (miRNA) expression profiling of colorectal cancer. In particular, the invention relates to a diagnostic kit of molecular markers for identifying one or more mammalian target cells exhibiting or having a predisposition to develop colorectal cancer, the kit comprising a plurality of nucleic acid molecules, each nucleic acid molecule encoding a miRNA sequence, wherein one or more of the plurality of nucleic acid molecules are differentially expressed in the target cells and in one or more control cells, and wherein the one or more differentially expressed nucleic acid molecules together represent a nucleic acid expression signature that is indicative for the presence of or the predisposition to develop colorectal cancer.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for preparation of formaldehyde-free plywood from scrap plastic alloys. Different scrap plastics are used to prepare plastic alloy film, which is then used as an adhesive material for the preparation of new plywood without formaldehyde emission. The formaldehyde-free plywood according to the present invention is prepared by the following steps: different scrap plastics are crushed, cleaned separately, and then corresponding fillers and additives are added to the above crushed material or their mixtures which mixed according to a certain blending ratio; plastic alloy film of certain size and thickness is prepared after the film blowing and rolling processes; after being assembled with wood veneers to form a lay-up mat, the mat is hot pressed and then cold pressed.

    Abstract: A device is provided for the detection of multiple analytes in at least one sample. The device contains a solid substrate with a test surface. On the test surface is defined at least one reaction area containing at least one array of discrete test sites. Each of these test sites have a test molecule immobilized on to it, and different test sites may have different test molecules immobilized thereon. A divider is provided for attachment onto the solid substrate. The divider contains a plurality of holes provided on an attachment surface. The attachment surface is complementary to the test surface of the solid device and is adapted for reversible attachment thereto such that when the two parts are attached, each of the holes is adjoined with a portion of the test surface to create a plurality of leak-proof chambers. The test surface within the chamber contains a plurality of test sites exposed within the chambers.
