  • Patent number: 11969986
Abstract: The invention discloses a bionic laminated thermal insulation material, which imitates a multi-thin laminated and thin-layer micro-pore structure of Sequoia sempervirens bark with fire resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent thermal insulation performance. A low thermal conductivity microporous powder is used as main raw material, while reinforcing agent, plasticizer and porosity agent are added to form microporous thin-layer units, and each thin-layer unit is bonded and laminated to make a laminated thermal insulation material. The thermal conductivity of the finished products is as low as 0.02˜0.05 W/m·k, with good thermal insulation and mechanical properties, which can be used in a temperature range below 1000° C., with better thermal insulation and energy-saving effect and toughness than ordinary thermal insulation materials, significantly reducing the thickness of the insulation layer, and can be widely used in industrial furnaces, thermal engineering devices, insulation pipes and other fields.

  • Patent number: 9478937
Abstract: The present disclosure describes semiconductor external cavity laser with wide bandwidth frequency modulation capabilities. The laser is preferably packaged in a standard form-factor package, such as a 14-pin butterfly package. The front end of the cavity comprises an integrated planar circuit (e.g., silica-on-silicon planar lightwave circuit with Bragg gratings), and the “back facet” of the laser is implemented as a high-reflection (HR) coated LiNbO3 phase tuning section in the double pass configuration. AC-voltage signal applied to the electrodes of phase tuning section modulates a refractive index of the propagating TE-polarization mode of external cavity and produces frequency modulation. Such frequency modulation is not associated with any thermal behavior of the gain element included in the external cavity laser, and has a negligible phase delay over a wide bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 6690501
Abstract: A method and system for providing an isolator/polarization beam deflector is disclosed. The method and system include a first collimator, a core and a second collimator. The first collimator collimates a plurality of optical signals traveling in a first direction. The core receives the optical signals from the first collimator. The core includes first and second birefringent wedges and a rotator between the first and second birefringent wedges. The first collimator, the first birefringent wedge and the rotator transmit the optical signals such that the optical signals cross at an interface between the rotator and the second birefringent wedge. The core transmits the optical signals with a deflection, combines the optical signals to provide a combined optical signal and prevents a reflected portion of the optical signals from traveling opposite to the first direction. The second collimator receives and couples the combined optical signal to the output.

  • Publication number: 20030215177
Abstract: A method and system for providing an a configurable optical add/drop module is disclosed. The method and system include providing first and second filters and a beam deflector between the filters. The first filter receives an input signal and an add signal, transmits a portion of the input signal to a drop signal, reflects a remaining portion of the input signal to an express channel and transmits the add signal. The second filter reflects the express channel to an output and transmits the drop signal and the add signal. The beam deflector has a first position and a second position. In the first position the beam deflector transmits the drop signal and add signal so the second filter transmits the drop signal to a drop output and the add signal to the output. In the second position the beam deflector deflects the drop signal and the add signal so the second filter transmits the drop signal to the output and decouples the add signal from the output.
