  • Patent number: 9543996
Abstract: Provided are a method and a system for initializing an RF module through non-volatile control, including: storing, by a non-volatile storage array, configuration information for initializing the RF module, and backing up the configuration information when receiving a power-down instruction (S1); and reading, by an RF module initialization accelerator, the configuration information from the non-volatile storage array when receiving a power-up instruction, and transmitting the read configuration information to the RF module, thereby initializing the RF module (S2). With the technical solution given in the present invention, the initialization of an RF module becomes much faster, and the power consumption of a wireless communication terminal can be reduced. In addition, the initialization of various RF modules can be supported, and meanwhile the hardware resources can be saved, thereby enhancing the extensibility of the system.

  • Patent number: 7300534
Abstract: Various coupling agents are disclosed to form lap joints between metallic and polymeric surfaces within catheters and other medical devices. The coupling agents disclosed in the present invention can be applied directly to a metallic surface, or the coupling agents may be incorporated within a polymeric material. In certain circumstances, the mere application of the coupling agent between the two dissimilar materials provides sufficient adhesive strength to form a fatigue-free lap joint bond. Alternative methods utilize coupling agents as primers for later thermal bonding and laser welding procedures that form lap joint bonds.

  • Patent number: 6977103
Abstract: An inflatable medical balloon comprises a polymer matrix material and a plurality of fibers distributed in the matrix material. The plurality of fibers operatively adhere to the matrix material and provide reinforcement thereof. The fibers may be parallel or angularly oriented relative to the longitudinal balloon axis, and may be helically disposed thereabout. The fibers may be composed of material which has a greater tensile strength than the matrix material. The fibers may be microfibers formed by phase separation of a melt blend material during extrusion or polymer cores coextruded with the matrix material and surrounded thereby. The balloon may be formed of alternating layers of fiber-free polymer and layers of fiber-containing polymer.

  • Publication number: 20050234500
Abstract: A medical balloon composed of a micro-composite material which provides for radial expansion of a balloon to a predetermined extent, but which has minimal longitudinal growth during balloon inflation. The micro-composite material includes a fibril component, a matrix component, and optionally, a compatibilizer. The fibril component may preferably be liquid crystal polymer fibers randomly scattered through out the balloon material. The liquid crystal polymers are created by extrusion at high speed. An alternative fibril component may be a PET fibers which are uniformly spaced about the balloon material and extend through out the length of the balloon material tube.

  • Publication number: 20040236310
Abstract: An elongate polymer member having molecular helical orientation formed by rotation immediately after passing through the extrusion head. The elongate polymer member is rotated downstream of the extrusion head in the molten state prior to solidification in order to impart the molecular helical orientation. Rotating the polymer member in the molten state allows the helical orientation to be imparted at the molecular level, and allows for more rotations per lineal foot of extrusion.
