  • Publication number: 20220225379
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a message scheduling transmission, by the UE, of uplink control information (UCI) in an uplink control channel resource, such as a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource. The UE may receive an indication that the UE is scheduled to transmit the UCI via a first beam during the uplink control channel resource and via a second beam during the uplink control channel resource, where the first beam may be directed to a first base station and the second beam may be directed to a second base station. The UE may determine a number of repetitions associated with transmitting the UCI, and transmit the UCI via one of inter-slot repetition, intra-uplink control channel resource beam hopping, or intra-slot repetition based on the number of repetitions.

  • Publication number: 20220225291
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive configuration information indicating physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) repetition for a first control resource set (CORESET) having a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state and a second CORESET having a second TCI state. The UE may monitor, based at least in part on the PDCCH repetition, PDCCH for a first set of CORESETs and a second set of CORESETs that at least partially overlap with each other in time, wherein PDCCH monitoring for the first set of CORESETs is based at least in part on a first spatial quasi-colocation (QCL) property and PDCCH monitoring for the second set of CORESETs is based at least in part on a second spatial QCL property different than the first spatial QCL property. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20220210813
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) that activates periodic channel state information (CSI) reporting via uplink shared channel transmissions (e.g., via physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions). The UE may then identify a trigger condition that triggers a transmission of both a first instance of a CSI report and a second instance of the CSI report within a period of the periodic CSI reporting. Based on the satisfaction of the trigger condition, the UE may transmit the first instance of the CSI report via a first uplink shared channel transmission and the second instance of the CSI report via a second uplink shared channel transmission, where both uplink channel transmissions are within the period of the periodic CSI reporting.

  • Publication number: 20220210814
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive signaling scheduling a first set repetitions of a first uplink shared channel transmission associated with a first sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set and a second set of repetitions of a second uplink shared channel transmission associated with a second SRS resource set. The UE may receive a request to transmit one or more channel state information (CSI) reports and an indication that the CSI reports are to be multiplexed with one of the first set of repetitions or the second set of repetitions or with both of the first and second set of repetitions. The UE may then transmit the CSI reports in accordance with the indication by multiplexing the CSI reports with one or both of the first set of repetitions and the second set of repetitions.

  • Publication number: 20220209914
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described in which a user equipment (UE) may transmit one or more uplink communications to multiple transmission-reception points (TRPs). Transmission parameters for each repetition may be based on parameters (e.g., a number of antenna ports, a spatial domain filter or beam, a rank or number of layers, or any combinations thereof) that are determined from an indication of whether the repetitions are to use different sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets, and indicated SRS resource of each SRS resource set. The indication may include a same number of bits regardless of whether one SRS resource set is used or multiple SRS resource sets are used, and may be based on a prior configuration of the UE.

  • Publication number: 20220210810
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described in which a user equipment (UE) may transmit one or more uplink communications to multiple transmission-reception points (TRPs), which may include multiple repetitions to each of the multiple TRPs. Transmission parameters for each repetition may be based on parameters such as a number of antenna ports, a spatial domain filter or beam, a rank or number of layers, or any combinations thereof, that are determined from an indicated sounding reference signal (SRS) resource. The SRS resource may be selected from a set of SRS resources that are configured at the UE and indicated in control information that schedules the uplink communication. Multiple sets of SRS resources may be configured at the UE, and one or multiple indicators in the control information may be mapped to SRS resources of one or more of the sets of SRS resources.

  • Publication number: 20220095346
Abstract: The apparatus receives a PUCCH resource configuration associated with a PUCCH resource. The PUCCH resource configuration indicates at least one of a PUCCH resource repetition configuration or a PUCCH resource inter-slot frequency hopping configuration for the PUCCH resource that is independent of PUCCH formats. In addition, the apparatus transmits a PUCCH in the PUCCH resource based on the at least one of the PUCCH resource repetition configuration or the PUCCH resource inter-slot frequency hopping configuration configured in the PUCCH resource configuration. The received PUCCH resource configuration may override a PUCCH format configuration. The apparatus may receive a DCI indicating the PUCCH resource and/or a MAC-CE associated with the PUCCH resource configuration, and may transmit the PUCCH based on the received DCI/MAC-CE.

  • Publication number: 20220094389
Abstract: An apparatus may determine a mode in association with frequency/beam hopping. The mode may be configured semi-statically through RRC signaling and/or dynamically through a MAC-CE. The apparatus may determine the mode based on the RRC signaling/MAC-CE in order to switch between different configurations of frequency and beam hopping for single-beam and multi-beam PUCCH transmissions. The apparatus is configured to receive a PUCCH resource IE for a PUCCH resource indicating a PUCCH resource intra-slot frequency hopping configuration. The apparatus is configured to determine whether multiple PUCCH beams are activated for the PUCCH resource. The apparatus is configured to determine a mode for frequency hopping and beam hopping for the PUCCH resource based on at least one of the PUCCH resource intra-slot frequency hopping configuration, or the determination whether multiple PUCCH beams are activated. The apparatus is configured to transmit on the PUCCH resource based on the determined mode.

  • Publication number: 20210368508
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to methods and apparatus for encoding repetitions of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). In some aspects, the disclosed methods or techniques include first determining that a first number of REs of a first PUCCH repetition used for UCI transmission is different than a second number of REs of a second PUCCH repetition used for the UCI transmission. Based on the determination, the UE performs one or more actions to provide a same mother polar code length for generating coded bits for each of the first and second PUCCH repetitions. The UE performs polar code encoding of information bits of the UCI for the first PUCCH repetition and the second PUCCH repetition based on the same mother polar code length. The UE transmits the first and the second PUCCH repetitions including the respective polar-encoded UCI.
