    Abstract: A method of active-dimming control for augmented-reality glasses. The method includes, while a user is wearing augmented-reality glasses, obtaining a first set of light information measured via a first sensor on the augmented reality glasses which is positioned to receive light after it travels through a dimmable element of the augmented-reality glasses. The method further includes obtaining a second set of light information measured via a second sensor on the augmented reality glasses positioned to receive light that has not travelled through the dimmable element of the augmented-reality glasses. The method further includes electronically adjusting a dimming level of the dimmable element based on a comparison between the first set and second set of light information.

    Abstract: Optical binocular disparity detection devices may include an optical combiner and a single image sensor. The optical combiner may include a left input for receiving a left image and a right input for receiving a right image. An output of the optical combiner may be configured to direct the left image and the right image out of the optical combiner. The single image sensor may be configured to receive and sense the left image and the right image from the output and to generate data indicative of a disparity between the left image and the right image. Various other related systems and methods are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A device is provided. The device includes a first polarization hologram element having a first operating wavelength band and configured to selectively backwardly diffract or transmit a first light associated with the first operating wavelength band based on a polarization of the first light. The device also includes a second polarization hologram element having a second operating wavelength band and stacked with the first polarization hologram. A thickness of the first polarization hologram element is configured based on a signal-to-noise ratio between a diffraction efficiency of the first polarization hologram element for the first light and a diffraction efficiency of the first polarization hologram element for a second light associated with the second operating wavelength band being greater than a predetermined value.
