A first interface is currently displayed, where a status bar of the first interface includes a first capsule notification, and the first capsule notification includes status information of a first service. A second capsule notification is received, where the second capsule notification includes status information of a second service. When at least two capsule notifications exist, a capsule notification displayed on top is determined according to a preset on-top-display rule, where the preset on-top-display rule may include displaying a capsule notification corresponding to a service with a higher priority on top, and for services with a same priority, displaying a latest received capsule notification on top, where a priority of a service is associated with an end manner of the service. A service with a higher priority is an important service.
