Abstract: A method implemented by a network component is provided. The method includes receiving a Virtual Station Interface (VSI) Discovery Protocol (VDP) request from an Edge Virtual Bridging (EVB) station and transmitting, to the EVB station, a VDP Response in response to the request. The VDP Response includes a VDP Type-Length-Value (TLV) having a Filter Information field. The Filter Information field is configured to specify a Priority Code Point (PCP) value associated with one or more Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) Identifier (VID) values carried by the VDP Response. The PCP value is carried in a PCP field and adopted by the EVB station as a default PCP value associated with the VSI and at least one VID. The Filter Information field further contains a PCP Significant (PS) field associated with each PCP field, and wherein the PS field indicates whether the PCP field carries the PCP value.

Abstract: The present application provides a method and a device for clearing a MAC forwarding entry. The method includes: detecting, by a first RB, that a topology of a network accessed by a local terminal changes; and sending, by the first RB, a first packet to a second RB, so that the second RB clears a corresponding forwarding entry after receiving the first packet, where the second RB refers to an RB configured with at least one VLAN the same as that of the first RB. According to embodiments of the present application, after the topology of the network accessed by the local terminal changes, MAC forwarding entries of relevant devices in a whole network can be cleared in time, thereby avoiding a forwarding error.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, an apparatus, and a system for detecting connectivity. A node receives connectivity detection request information; determines, according to nicknames of target nodes, whether the is one of the target nodes; if the node is one of the target nodes, sends connectivity detection reply information to a source node; if the node is not one of the target nodes, performs corresponding processing according to a value of a hop count and whether the node is on a path that is in the multicast distribution tree and is from the source node to any one of the target nodes. With the present invention, a source node is capable of receiving only a feedback of a node on a true path, thereby making it easier to identify a path.

A first routing bridge receives an appointment packet for appointing the first routing bridge as an appointed forwarding device of a virtual local area network (VLAN); and immediately enters a forwarding state and starts to forward a packet of the VLAN, if the first routing bridge is in a state of being inhibited from forwarding packets of the VLAN when the first routing bridge receives a first advertisement packet carrying an identifier of the VLAN sent by a second routing bridge; the first advertisement packet is a broadcast packet and used to notify a neighboring routing bridge that the second routing bridge sending the first advertisement packet is not the appointed forwarding device of the VLAN; and the second routing bridge is an original appointed forwarding device of the VLAN application.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a service instance mapping method, apparatus and system. The service instance mapping method includes: correlating a layer-2 service instance with a service access port of the service instance, and determining correspondence between the service access port and a service instance identifier; and mapping the service instance identifier to a service label of a packet. In embodiments of the present invention, because the service label is adopted to carry the service instance identifier, a higher service label supporting capability may be included, more service instances may be supported, and a multi-tenant requirement in a large-scale public cloud environment can be met; control protocol support is extended, and extension of a TRILL protocol can fulfill a higher service development capability.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for converting a virtual local area network identity are presented. An egress RB obtains and stores a service information table of each routing bridge and receives a data packet in TRILL encapsulation sent by a source terminal and forwarded by a neighboring routing bridge. The egress RB queries a stored service information table according to an identity of an ingress RB and a VID in the data packet and obtains a local VID of a service that the data packet belongs to according to a service information table of an egress RB. The egress RB converts a virtual local area network identity in the received data packet into a local virtual local area network identity and sends the data packet with the converted virtual local area network identity to a destination terminal.

Abstract: The present invention provides a virtual machine migration method, a switch, a virtual machine system. A switch receives a message sent by a server, where the message is used to enable the switch to discover a connected virtual machine interface; obtains, from the message, an identifier for indicating whether a virtual machine is migrated; and determines whether the virtual machine is a virtual machine migrated to the server according to the identifier indicating whether the virtual machine is migrated. According to the embodiments of the present invention, it may be determined whether an added virtual machine on a server is a newly created one or a migrated one.

Abstract: The objective of the embodiments of the present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus of sending address correspondence information and updating a MAC table in a data link layer protocol of applying Link State Routing for solving the problem that too much bandwidth is occupied by broadcasting address correspondence information solicitation in a data link layer of applying link state routing. Through adopting the technical solution of the embodiments of the present invention, since besides the ingress network node, other network nodes also store address correspondence information in their address correspondence information tables, so when they receive an address correspondence information solicitation, they can directly reply with an address correspondence information response without broadcasting the solicitation, decreasing the bandwidth occupied by broadcasting address correspondence information solicitation in a data link layer of applying link state routing.
