  • Patent number: 6981271
Abstract: A disk device for improving a S/N ratio is provided with a spindle motor control substrate 10 arranged below a tray 3 via a buffer material and a medium substrate 12 arranged at a position different from the spindle motor control substrate 10 below the tray 3. The spindle motor control substrate 10, the medium substrate 12 and the main control substrate 7 of the device body are connected each other with a flexible print circuit (FPC) 9. The medium substrate 12 and a pickup head 1c are connected with other FPC. The head detection signal is provided to the main control substrate 7 through the medium substrate 12. A driver IC for motor drive system is carried on the spindle motor control substrate 10. The motor drive signal is apart from the head detection signal and is provided to a spindle motor 1a or a head transferring motor.

  • Patent number: 6320835
Abstract: A disk tray is provided slideably between a disk ejecting position in which a disk is placed on the disk tray and a disk reproduction position in which information stored the disk is read. A housing movably supports the disk tray. Disk reproducing components are arranged in the disk tray, and include a pickup and a disk motor which drives and rotates the disk. A flexible cable connects the disk reproducing components arranged in the disk tray with a substrate provided in the housing, the flexible cable being arranged in a manner in which the flexible cable is curved. A reinforcement film is formed on a predetermined portion of a movable portion of the flexible cable, the movable portion moving with respect to the housing when the disk tray moves with respect to the housing.

  • Patent number: 5883870
Abstract: A disk information recording medium is loaded on a tray. The tray is loaded in a frame and rotated when information is read from the disk information recording medium. The tray projects from the frame and causes the disk information recording medium to be exposed from the frame when the disk information recording medium is replaced with another one. A braking member is provided on the frame in a position such that the braking member comes into contact with the disk information recording medium when the tray having the disk information recording medium loaded thereon projects from the frame and exposes the disk information recording medium from the frame.
