  • Patent number: 11956104
Abstract: Millimeter-wave (mmWave) and sub-mmWave technology, apparatuses, and methods that relate to transceivers and receivers for wireless communications are described. The various aspects include an apparatus of a communication device including one or more antennas configured to receive an RF signal and an ADC system. The ADC system includes a 1-bit ADC configured to receive the RF signal, and an ADC controller circuitry configured to measure a number of positive samples in the received RF signal for a plurality of thresholds of the 1-bit ADC, estimate receive signal power associated with the received RF signal based on the measured number of positive samples, determine a direct current (DC) offset in the received RF signal using the estimated received signal power, and adjust the received RF signal based on the determined DC offset.

  • Publication number: 20230196205
Abstract: A learning method of distributed artificial intelligence is disclosed. The method is comprising: updating, by the local device, parameters of a corresponding local model by training the local model based on a corresponding local dataset; generating, by the local device, compressed gradient information by compressing gradients of the parameter of the local model; transmitting, by the local device, the compressed gradient information to a parameter server; reconstructing, by a parameter server, gradients of the parameters of the local model based on the compressed gradient information received from the local device; and updating, by the parameter server, parameters of a global model based on the reconstructed gradients of the parameters of the local model.

  • Patent number: 10708019
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system, such as long term evolution (LTE). To support multiple access, a method for operating a terminal is provided. The method includes sending at least one first reference signal over a first resource which supports orthogonal multiple access with at least one other terminal, sending at least one second reference signal over a second resource which supports non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with the at least one other terminal, and sending a data signal according to the NOMA with the at least one other terminal.

  • Patent number: 10090892
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for detecting data transmitted over a wireless channel are disclosed. For example, for each receive antenna of a plurality of receive antennas, the method converts, by an ADC, an analog signal received by the receive antenna to a respective digital signal, and for each receive antenna of the plurality of receive antennas, the method channel transforms, by a channel transformer, the digital signal to determine a respective equivalent integer representation of the digital signal, and the method detects data by receive combining, by a receive combiner, the respective equivalent integer representations of the digital signals determined for the plurality of receive antennas.
