  • Patent number: 11851994
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to gravity feeding coiled tubing (CT) into a live well. A method may include gravity feeding the CT into the live well having a wellhead, a line in fluid communication with the wellhead, a CT stripper and pressure control equipment (PCE) disposed above the wellhead, and a safety valve disposed below the wellhead, the method comprising: injecting a fluid through the line and into the wellbore to displace reservoir fluid positioned above the safety valve such that at least a portion of the reservoir fluid is forced below the safety valve; closing the safety valve; releasing pressure from between the PCE and the safety valve via the line; gravity feeding the CT into the wellbore; isolating pressure between the PCE and the safety valve; manipulating pressures on both sides of the safety valve; opening the safety valve; and gravity feeding the CT past the safety valve.

  • Patent number: 11808135
Abstract: Systems and methods to perform an automated downhole inspection in real-time are disclosed. A method to perform the downhole inspection includes deploying a camera and a logging tool downhole. The method also includes obtaining real-time transmissions of images from the camera. The method further includes obtaining real-time transmissions of data from the logging tool. The method further includes determining a presence of a downhole anomaly based on the real-time transmissions of images and the real-time transmissions of data.

  • Publication number: 20230228172
Abstract: Provided is a multilateral junction, a well system, and a method. The multilateral junction, in at least one aspect, includes a mainbore leg having a first mainbore leg end and a second opposing mainbore leg end, as well as a lateral bore leg having a first lateral bore leg end and a second opposing lateral bore leg end. The multilateral junction, according to this aspect, further includes a lateral locating assembly coupled to the second opposing lateral bore leg end, the lateral locating assembly including: a tubular; and a bendable deflection tip coupled to the tubular, the bendable deflection tip configured to move between a straight position and a bent position upon the application of fluid pressure thereto.

  • Publication number: 20230228171
Abstract: Provided is a lateral locating assembly, a well system, and a method. The lateral locating assembly, in at least one aspect, includes a tubular, as well as a bendable deflection tip coupled to the tubular, the bendable deflection tip configured to move between a straight position and a bent position upon the application of fluid pressure thereto. The lateral locating assembly, according to one or more aspects, further includes one or more production ports coupling an interior of the tubular and an exterior of the tubular, as well as a sliding sleeve positioned about the one or more production ports, the sliding sleeve configured to seal the one or more production ports when in a first position and expose the one or more production ports when in a second position.
