Abstract: A method and a device for assisting the positioning of a device capable of connecting to a Wi-Fi local area network of a domestic gateway of a user. Such a method is implemented by a mobile terminal placed in a domestic environment of the user. The Wi-Fi signal levels emitted by the mobile terminal and received by the domestic gateway originate from the domestic gateway, and at successive time intervals, and an average is calculated during a sliding time window and of a determined duration. This average is compared with a value of at least one determined threshold. A piece of information representative of the area of the domestic environment in which the mobile terminal is located with respect to the domestic gateway, is returned to the user.

Abstract: A method and device for recording a service in a local network are described. The service includes a set of actions to be carried out on at least one terminal of the network to provide a part of the service. The method includes obtaining a unique identifier, finding capacities of the network terminals, acquiring the found terminal capacities, constructing the service as a sequence of actions on at least one found terminal via a user interface, associating the service with the unique identifier, and recording the service and the associated unique identifier.

Abstract: A method of configuring a multimedia device connected to an interconnection device and to at least one terminal is disclosed. The multimedia device includes a service interface to the interconnection device and a terminal interface to said terminal. The method includes an initialization phase including receiving, through the service interface, a first request to obtain an identification parameter authorizing access to a configuration module for the multimedia device, and transmitting, through the service interface, a message destined for the terminal comprising the identification parameter requested.
