  • Publication number: 20240038402
Abstract: The MIHIC system in various embodiments described herein helps clinicians predict the risk of maternal mortality by detecting diseases early and identifying possible risks in mothers, fetuses and infants across pre, peri and post-natal stages of pregnancy. The system quantifies risk as a single MIHIC score, which through quantification assigns possible risks to the mother, fetus and infant. The MIHIC score uses a specialized algorithm to derive the individual and overall risk as a value between 0 and 1 and uses the risk scores to stratify the patients into High, Medium and Low risk for preventive intervention and improved pregnancy outcome.

  • Publication number: 20230397084
Abstract: An Integrated Access and Backhaul, IAB, node determines link degradation in a primary path to a first Distributed Unit, DU, of a gNB, establishes a secondary path with a second DU of a gNB, detects link failure in the primary path, releases the primary path and makes the second primary path as a new primary path. A first IAB donor node receives an indication of link degradation from an IAB node in a network managed by the first IAB donor node, determines that an available IAB node is in a network managed by a second IAB donor node, sends to the second IAB donor node a request to connect the IAB node with the second IAB donor node and, in case the request is accepted, requests the IAB node to connect with the second IAB donor node.

  • Patent number: 11239901
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes a transceiver and a processor operatively coupled to the transceiver. The transceiver and the processor establish a connection with a first wireless network node and a second wireless network node. The transceiver and the processor also receive power configurations and timing advances from the first wireless network node independently of the second wireless network node. The transceiver and the processor also simultaneously receive downlink signals from both the first wireless network node and the second wireless network node. • Patent number: 10270518
Abstract: Methods and wireless devices are described. A method includes a wireless device transmitting to wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) by being scheduled by the base station or using a pool of radio resources, which is for any of a plurality of wireless devices to use for transmission to WTRUs. On a condition that the wireless device is to be scheduled by the base station, the wireless device receives scheduling information for transmission to a WTRU having a group radio network terminal identifier (RNTI) and transmits to the WTRU in response to the received scheduling information. The scheduling information for transmission to the base station uses a different RNTI. On a condition that the wireless device is to use the pool of radio resources for transmission to a WTRU, the wireless device transmits to the WTRU without being scheduled by the base station using the pool of radio resources.

  • Patent number: 8090101
Abstract: A method and system for generating a secret key from joint randomness shared by wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) are disclosed. A first WTRU and a second WTRU perform channel estimation to generate a sampled channel impulse response (CIR) on a channel between the first WTRU and the second WTRU. The first WTRU generates a set of bits from the sampled CIR and generates a secret key and a syndrome, (or parity bits), from the set of bits. The first WTRU sends the syndrome, (or parity bits), to the second WTRU. The second WTRU reconstructs the set of bits from the syndrome, (or parity bits), and its own sampled CIR, and generates the secret key from the reconstructed set of bits.

  • Publication number: 20110035592
Abstract: An authentication method selection using a home enhanced Node B (H(e)NB) profile is disclosed. A method for selecting an H(e)NB authentication method includes authenticating at least one of the device or the hosting party module by a security gateway (SeGW). The SeGW receives a request from the H(e)NB to start the authentication process. Based on information received from the H(e)NB and an authentication information server, the SeGW determines how to authenticate the H(e)NB. The possible authentication methods include device authentication only, device authentication and hosting party module authentication, requesting the H(e)NB to perform authentication using Extensible Authentication Protocol-Authentication and Key Agreement, or authentication of both the H(e)NB and one or more WTRUs connected to or attempting to connect to the H(e)NB.

  • Publication number: 20090296787
Abstract: A wireless communication method and system for assigning multi-paths to Rake receiver fingers. A Rake finger assignment database is established in which multi-path signals are categorized into a verified group and an unverified group. Each multi-path is assigned to an individual bin in the database. Each bin includes a pilot phase data field, an antenna data field, a code data field, an averaged signal strength data field, an assigned flag data field, a verification flag data field, an update flag data field, an assigned Rake finger number data field and an assignment time counter data field. The multi-path signals in the verified group are further categorized into an assigned subgroup and an unassigned subgroup. During a measurement interval, each of a plurality of newly measured multi-path signals is compared to the multi-path signals in the database and is processed accordingly.
