    Abstract: An organic functional silane composition is shown and described herein. An organic functional silane composition comprises a mixture of organic functional silane monomers where at least one of the silane monomers comprises two or more alkoxy groups having C1-C2 alkyl groups and at least one of the silane monomers comprises two or more alkoxy groups having an alkyl group of three or more carbon atoms. The organic functional silane compositions can be employed in a coating composition and can improve one or more properties of the coating including, for example, scrub resistance.

Control of the proportion of sulfur acid monomer units to carboxylic acid monomer units results in an improvement in the viscosity stability of paint formulations containing latexes possessing acorn morphology without sacrificing hiding.
