  • Patent number: 11809488
Abstract: A method for generating for a subject a personalized playlist of sounds, notably songs, using the analysis of the subject's electroencephalographic signal, the method including the following steps: receiving at least one segment of electroencephalographic signal acquired from at least one electrode while the subject is listening to at least one proposed sound; extracting at least one EEG index from the electroencephalographic signal segment so as to characterize brain patterns correlated to the emotions evoked by the music and the level of appreciation of the sound; evaluating the valence of sounds listening on the basis of the EEG index; receiving a score of appreciation on the sound from the subject; including the sound in the personalized playlist (P) of the subject whenever the valence matches a predefined valence and/or the score of appreciation is higher than a predefined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220265221
Abstract: A method for monitoring physiological signals of a subject from sounds produced by the subject, including: receiving recorded sounds, including sounds from the subject's chest and being transmitted by the subject's biological tissues to the subject's ears, the recorded sounds being recorded by sound recording element(s) positioned inside earcup(s) of headphones worn by the subject; receiving signals from an accelerometer and a gyroscope being recorded simultaneously with the recorded sounds; detecting heart beats from the cardiac peaks sounds and calculating inter-beat intervals from the heart beats; extracting a first estimation of the breathing signal from the inter-beat intervals presenting respiratory sinus arrhythmia; extracting a second estimation of the breathing signal from residual sounds; extracting a third estimation of the breathing signal and motion artifacts from the signals of the accelerometer and the gyroscope; calculating the breathing signal by combining the first, second and third estimati

  • Publication number: 20210267530
Abstract: A method for assessing an electroencephalographic signal quality based on a multiclass classification, including: receiving at least one segment of electroencephalographic signal from at least one electrode; extracting at least one feature value from each electroencephalographic signal segment channel; classifying with a first classification to assign each electroencephalographic signal segment channel to one of at least three quality classes.

  • Patent number: 10835179
Abstract: Disclosed is an audio-headset for acquisition of a bio-signal from a subject, including a first earpiece; a second earpiece; an arch connecting the first earpiece and the second earpiece; the arch including a hub (4); wherein the arch, the first earpiece and the second earpiece are configured so that the earpieces are placed over a subject's ears when the audio headset is worn by the subject; and at least one posterior branch (1) having a first end extending from the hub and a second free end; the at least one posterior branch (1) including a concave surface with a radius of curvature, a collapsed state when the headset is not worn by the subject and an expanded state when the headset is worn by the subject.

  • Publication number: 20160157777
Abstract: A headset for acquiring a bio-signal from a subject, includes a hub; at least 3 flexible branches, each branch having a first end extending from the hub and a second free end, the 3 flexible branches defining an opening formed by the relative position of the free ends; and at least 3 electrodes, wherein at least one electrode is located on each of the 3 flexible branches, the electrodes being configured for acquiring a bio-signal; the 3 flexible branches having a collapsed state; and an expanded state wherein the 3 electrodes are in contact with the scalp of the subject; and the headset is expanded from its collapsed state to its expanded state by placing the free ends on the top of the subject's head, and progressively lowering and sliding the same while contacting the scalp until the hub is contacted with the top of the head of the subject.
