Abstract: A hybrid container has an integrally formed base made from a paper material and an integrally formed lid made from a plastic material. The base defines a volume with a bottom and opposing first sidewalls that form an upper peripheral rim. The base has at least two flaps, one extend from each opposing first sidewall, configured as a loop with a central opening and pivotable with respect to its first sidewall. The lid is dimensioned for positioning on the upper peripheral rim of the base and has an upper surface, opposing second sidewalls, and at least two receiving regions each formed on opposing second sidewalls and having a seat dimensioned for releasable engagement with the central opening of each flap. Each of the receiving regions is angled with respect to the upper surface of the lid to completely receive one flap when the connected to the seat.

Abstract: A system for displaying, transporting, storing, and serving food that includes stackable catering platters, containers, and covers. The system provides a modular catering platter system for use in both hot and cold food applications, even at the same time. At least two stackable sectional platters are provided including a larger sectional base and a smaller top section that stackably mate directly with each other.

Abstract: A container system having a base and a lid. The base has a bottom and one or more sidewalls extending from the bottom to define an interior volume, the base having a rim at a peripheral edge of the one or more sidewalls, the rim defining a first engagement region. The system also has a lid having a peripheral outer rim defining a second engagement region, the first and second engagement regions dimensioned to releasably engage with each other. The lid has a hinged region having a first hinge about which the lid folds as a first part of the lid is lifted from the base to disengage portions of the first and second engagement regions from one another, to provide access to the interior volume of the base while a second part of the lid on an opposite side of the hinge remains secured and attached to the base.

Abstract: A modular container system has an interior dividable into compartments of variable size and includes a base having a bottom and sidewalls extending from the bottom to define an interior volume. At least one opposing pair of the sidewalls have regions arranged opposite each other, each of the regions including protrusions to form pairs of opposing protrusions, each of the regions further including indents positioned in correspondence with the protrusions. At least one barrier extends between the opposing protrusions to divide the interior volume of the base into a plurality of compartments. The barrier has an elongate body and a tab portion extending from each end of the body. Each tab portion is bendable to orient an underside of each tab portion to face a respective protrusion, a longitudinal end of each said tab portion engaging with a corresponding indent, to form a press-fit coupling.

Abstract: Folding plastic tongs for serving food items are disclosed. The tongs have arms joined at a hinge and extending in a lengthwise direction from the hinge. A first protrusion extends from an inner surface of the first arm and a second protrusion extends from an inner surface of the second arm. The first protrusion and the second protrusion are configured to connect to each other to restrain an opening movement of the arms. Gripping portions are formed at ends of each of the arms. The hinge is configured to allow the arms to open to a position such that the first arm forms at least an obtuse angle with the second arm when the first protrusion and the second protrusion are not connected.
