  • Patent number: 5081539
Abstract: In a facsimile apparatus bus-connected to an ISDN line, a D channel signal on a bus is monitored to supervise whether or not a reception interruption message from another facsimile apparatus is received. When a reception interruption message from another facsimile apparatus is detected, a communication restart procedure is executed for a destination apparatus of the reception interruption message, and interrupted facsimile communication data is substitute-received. Urgent document information or the like can be quickly transmitted to a destination without inadvertently interrupting facsimile communication. In this control, no large-capacity memory is required in each apparatus for substitute reception, and a simple and inexpensive facsimile apparatus can be provided.
