  • Patent number: 10999637
Abstract: In embodiments of video media item selection, items that have been designated for association with video media are displayed while the video media is also displayed for viewing. An item grab application is implemented to receive a user input as an item selection of an item that is associated with the video media while being displayed for viewing. An item page for the selected item can be displayed, where the item page includes an identifier and image of the selected item, as well as a selectable link to the video media. The item grab application can also post the item selection to a social media site when the user shares the selected item. The item selection is posted without the video media that the selected item is associated with, and the video media is selectable for viewing from the item selection that is posted to the social media site.

  • Patent number: 9407971
Abstract: Techniques for presentation of summary content for primary content are described. In at least some embodiments, primary content includes different types of content, such as television programs, live broadcasts, web content, and so forth. Summary content can be generated that encapsulates various aspects and/or events of primary content. In at least some embodiments, summary content is selectable to retrieve other types of content. For instance, summary content can be selected to retrieve supplementary content and/or associated primary content. Implementations enable a variety of different interactions with summary content, such as searching, bookmarking, browsing, and so on.

  • Patent number: 8952991
Abstract: A system and method for defining the zoom response, or behavior, of a display object independently of other display objects performs a selective zoom response to a zoom level. Selective zoom response provides each display object individual zoom response logic to determine the manner of display at given zoom levels. Accordingly, display object behavior is definable on a per object basis. The zoom function triggers particular operations at a given zoom level for modifying attributes of a display object that affect the visual appearance, thus modifying the zoom behavior of the display object. Since each display object has a different zoom response logic, different display objects respond independently to a particular zoom level as appropriate for the display object. Therefore, the zoom response is object specific since each display object has its own set of attributes and zoom logic affecting those attributes.

  • Patent number: 7589749
Abstract: A system provides interaction between graphical objects and a managing application by detecting that movement of a first graphical object relative to a second graphical object on the graphical user interface is within a spatial proximity. In response to the detection of movement, the system notifies the first graphical object of presence information related to the second graphical object. The presence information includes at least an identity of the second graphical object. The system forms an association between the first graphical object and the second graphical object based on the presence information, and then graphically alters a representation of at least one of the first graphical object and the second graphical object on the graphical user interface in response to the formation of the association with each other.
