Abstract: A method for quantifying a component in a rubber composition, the method comprising at least: an extraction step in which, from the rubber composition, an extraction liquid containing an extract is obtained using an organic solvent; a concentration step in which the organic solvent is distilled off from the extraction liquid to obtain a concentrate of the extract; a thermal analysis step in which the concentrate is subjected to thermogravimetric analysis to obtain a thermogravimetric curve; and a quantification step in which a weight reduction ratio corresponding to a component to be quantified is read from the thermogravimetric curve. It is preferred that the component to be quantified is a non-volatile component. It is preferred that the non-volatile component is a hydrocarbon resin.
