  • Publication number: 20170139554
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a processor. The processor displays, when display of a list of images is requested, thumbnails corresponding to the images based on attributes associated with the images, displays a first element on a first thumbnail arranged at a first position of the thumbnails, the first element indicative of a first attribute associated with a first image corresponding to the first thumbnail, and displays, when the first element is selected, elements indicative of attributes precedent to or subsequent to the first attribute of the attributes associated with the images.

  • Patent number: 7293124
Abstract: A mode designation device designates a serial interface mode or a parallel interface mode. A parallel/serial bridge circuit is operable in a serial interface mode, and converts, into a serial interface signal, a parallel interface signal transferred via a parallel interface bus. The resultant signal is transmitted to a serial interface bus. The serial interface bus is connected to particular pins that are included in the parallel interface connector and are not used by a parallel interface. The parallel/serial bridge circuit further converts, into a parallel interface signal, a serial interface signal transferred via the serial interface bus. The resultant signal is transmitted to the parallel interface bus.

  • Patent number: 6841954
Abstract: A CPU sets an SPM driver in SPM start-up mode when a SPM is started up. At this time, a voltage selector applies, to a driver circuit, a voltage (high voltage) boosted by a voltage booster. A starter control circuit controls, during the period of an SPM start-up mode, the driver circuit with the high voltage applied thereto, thereby starting up the SPM. After the SPM has been started up, the CPU sets the SPM driver in PWM mode. At this time, the voltage selector switches the voltage applied to the driver circuit, from the boosted voltage to the voltage (low voltage) of a power supply. During the period of the PWM mode, a PWM circuit controls the driver circuit with the low voltage applied thereto, so as to rotate the SPM at a rated speed.

  • Publication number: 20020159354
Abstract: When the temperature of an SPM (spindle motor), measured by a temperature sensor, falls outside a predetermined temperature range, a CPU in a disk drive sets, in a disk controller, information concerning the activation of the SPM, to enable a host system to acquire the information. The information includes a temperature control request used to cause the temperature of the SPM to fall within the predetermined temperature range, the present temperature of the SPM and a waiting time required for the SPM to become activatable as a result of temperature control by the host system.

  • Patent number: 6377015
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for applying a power-supply voltage to the voice coil control circuit provided in a disk drive and designed to drive the head actuator provided in the disk drive. The power supply circuit of the disk drive outputs a voltage that corresponds to the power-supply voltage applied from a host system. A voltage step-up circuit is provided, which increases the output voltage of the power supply circuit. A switching circuit is provided, which selects the increased voltage output from the voltage step-up circuit when a large current needs to be supplied to the voice coil motor incorporated in the disk drive. The switching circuit selects the output voltage of the power supply circuit when a relatively small current needs to be supplied to the voice coil motor.
