  • Publication number: 20050209975
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for conducting a secure transaction via a network is disclosed. Coupled to a network are a first site and a terminal for permitting a user to perform a first portion of a transaction at the first site via the network. A second site is also coupled to the network for performing a second portion of the transaction which requires the use of personal data of the user. The second site is contacted by the first site via the network to perform the second portion of the transaction. In response, the second site transmits a certificate for verifying the identity of the second site to the terminal via the network. After the terminal authenticates the certificate, the second site then transmits a request for the personal data to the terminal via the network. A secure device associated with the user is coupled to the terminal. The secure device contains an encrypted version of the personal data and a first key for decrypting the encrypted personal data.

  • Publication number: 20040095349
Abstract: According to the invention, visualization and analysis of multidimensional data is performed in an automated environment. Embodiments according to the present invention are especially effective for analyzing the course of clinical procedures, but it is not only limited to these types of applications. The present invention can also be applied to healthcare risk analysis for many factors, analyses of industrial production control, and any analyses using multidimensional data. The present invention provides systems, methods and software that can be used to distribute and share the results of analyses.

  • Publication number: 20030212567
Abstract: A plurality of vehicles with cameras and other sensors collect images, including other data as a normal event, or upon demand in an emergency, or when requested to do so by another vehicle, an occupant or a service center. Images may be permanently stored in the vehicles and indexed in a directory at the service center so that the images may selectively sent to the service center or another vehicle without consuming storage space at the service center. Upon the occurrence of an emergency event, an emergency signal is broadcast to vehicles within the area to save and transmit an immediate past image history and an immediate future image history.

  • Patent number: 5471580
Abstract: A hierarchical network hierarchically connects a plurality of networks whose nodes are mutually connected by connection paths as a p-array n-dimensional cube to configure a single network. A plurality of nodes are selected from lower layer p-array n-dimensional cubes, and the selected gate nodes are mutually connected as a p-array m-dimensional cube to configure a p-array m-dimensional network on the next layer. Similarly, gate nodes are selected from a plurality of next-layer p-array m-dimensional networks, and mutually connected as a p-array l-dimensional cube to configure a p-array l-dimensional network in a further upper layer, thereby configuring a single hierarchical network as a whole.

  • Patent number: 4532589
Abstract: In a data processing apparatus executing a plurality of instructions in a pipeline mode by dividing each of the instructions into a plurality of stages, its operation circuit includes a first execution (E) unit capable of execution of operations required by all of the plural instructions and a second E unit capable of execution of operations required by part of the plural instructions only. A queue of data including decoded information of the instructions required for execution of operation stages are stored in a circuit to be selectively supplied by first and second circuits to the first and second E units, respectively. The first and second circuits sequentially select succeeding data in synchronism with the end of operations in the first and second E units respectively.
