  • Patent number: 5910904
Abstract: A digital filter apparatus including a pair of infinite impulse response (IIR) digital filters connected in parallel for selectively controlling an output level of an input signal fed to the filter apparatus. One IIR digital filter is a low-pass filter and the other IIR digital filter is an all-pass filter. A pair of level control circuits are respectively connected to outputs of the pair of IIR digital filters, and an adder combines outputs of the level control circuits to form the filter apparatus output. Phase characteristics of the pair of IIR digital filters with respect to a frequency are made substantially coincident with each other and control levels of the level control circuits are adjusted so that the output level of the filter apparatus in a predetermined frequency range is controlled.
