  • Patent number: 4736185
Abstract: A digital display apparatus monitors changes in a measurement value, e.g., voltage or fuel load, and in response, controls the rate at which the display is updated, to prevent flicker. When changes in the measurement value are small in amplitude or resemble noise pulses, the response time of the display is slowed. However, when the changes in the measurement values are large in amplitude or appear to be noise-free, response time is quickened so that a correct value is rapidly displayed.

  • Patent number: 4648104
Abstract: A pulse counting device wherein a number of pulses is stored in a first register out of a plurality of registers, and subsequently a new pulse number counted is stored in the first register and pulse numbers stored in the registers are successively shifted with a pulse number erased from a final register. The pulse numbers stored in the respective registers are corrected dependent on the latest pulse number stored in the first register, and a value dependent on the corrected values stored in all of the registers is displayed. If the latest pulse number is abruptly varied in excess of a certain preset value upon comparison with the pulse numbers in the registers, then the pulse numbers in the registers are corrected with a value dependent on the latest pulse number.

  • Patent number: 4614114
Abstract: A measuring device comprises not only a fluctuation-suppressing means between the input and output circuits for absorbing sudden variations in input signal but also a selection control means which can, if so desired, invalidate the fluctuation-suppressing function by the open-close operation on a switch outside the circuits so that the input signal can be transmitted directly to the output side. This reduces the time required for inspection and diagnostic testing and, if the processing functions used in common are incorporated internally, the same circuits can be used both for measurements requiring the fluctuation-suppressing function and for those not requiring it.

  • Patent number: 4509044
Abstract: Sampling data output in the form of digital signals corresponding to changes in a quantity to be measured within a predetermined period or an average value of the sampling data is compared with display data corresponding to the current display. When the accumulation signal obtained by accumulation of the difference between the sampling data and display data exceeds a predetermined value, or an average value having a predetermined difference from the current display data has been counted a predetermined times, the display data is updated.
