  • Patent number: 7338985
Abstract: A rustproofing composition has superior properties satisfying rustproofing quality requirements and workability requirements for car underbodies, parts around tires, parts with pockets, plate-bonded parts or the like of car bodies, and containing volatile organic solvent of 20 mass % or less. In a rustproofing composition containing UV curable resin and photopolymerizing initiator and at least one of rustproofing oil and rustproofing wax, the content of nonvolatile component at 105° C. for 3 hours in the rustproofing oil and rustproofing wax is 80 mass % or more, the UV curable resin and photopolymerizing initiator are dissolved or dispersed in the rustproofing oil and rustproofing wax, and the UV curable resin is contained at 0.3 to 10 weight % to the total weight of the composition.

  • Patent number: 6979161
Abstract: The present invention provides for a bolt structure for use with a magnesium alloy member that can insulate between magnesium alloy members and steel or other bolts without lowering the bolt shaft power, and prevent occurrence of electrolytic corrosion with an electrolyte such as water. A cationic electrodeposition coating is also provided for the bolts structure, said coating having a film thickness of 15 ?m or more is provided at least on the surface of the magnesium alloy member contacting with a bolt head, a powder coating having a film thickness of 40 to 150 ?m is provided on the surface of the cationic electrodeposition coating, zinc-nickel plating and then cosmer treatment are carried out on the bolt, and an alumite-treated aluminum washer is interposed between the bolt head and the magnesium alloy member.

  • Patent number: 6874856
Abstract: A wheel balance weight includes a weight and an installation member. The weight is composed of at least one member selected from the group consisting of zinc and a zinc-based alloy, is formed as a substantially strip shape having a substantially uniform thickness, and has opposite surfaces and at least a groove. The groove is formed in at least one of the opposite surfaces of the weight, and crosses in the width-wise direction of the weight. The installation member is adapted for installing the weight to a rim in a wheel. Since the weight is composed of zinc or a zinc-based alloy, environments are inhibited from being polluted when the wheel balance weight is abolished. Moreover, it is possible to manufacture the wheel balance weight at reduced costs and install it to wheels with ease.

  • Patent number: 6659702
Abstract: The present invention provides a bolting structure for a magnesium alloy member, having a non-magnesium alloy and conventional member 12 disposed on the magnesium alloy member 15, the magnesium alloy member 15 being covered with an insulator 14, and a bolt 18 initially inserted through the magnesium alloy member 15 and then into the conventional member 12, thereby permitting the conventional member 12 and the magnesium alloy member 15 to be bolted together, comprising: a washer 17 disposed between a head 18a of the bolt 18 and the magnesium alloy member 15, the washer 17 having a boss 16 disposed thereon, wherein the magnesium alloy member 15 is formed with a through-hole 13 that is greater in diameter than a bolthole 19 of the washer 17. The above boss 16 and through-hole 13 eliminate a chance that the bolt 18 contacts the through-hole 13. The insulator 14 remains intact because of non-contact of the bolt 18 with the through-hole 13 so that no stray current corrosion occurs.

  • Publication number: 20020127083
Abstract: The present invention provides a bolt tightening structure of a magnesium alloy member capable of insulating between magnesium alloy members and steel or other bolts without lowering the bolt shaft power, and preventing occurrence of electrolytic corrosion if contacting with electrolyte such as water. This is a bolt tightening structure of a magnesium alloy member for tightening magnesium alloy members with each other or a magnesium alloy member and a heterogeneous material by means of a bolt. Cationic electrodeposition coating having a film thickness of 15 &mgr;m or more is provided at least on the surface of the magnesium alloy member contacting with a bolt head, a powder coating having a film thickness of 40 to 150 &mgr;m is provided on surface of the cationic electrodeposition coating, zinc-nickel plating and then cosmer treatment are carried out on the bolts, and an alumite-treated aluminum washer is interposed between the bolt head and the magnesium alloy member.
