Abstract: A light receiving and emitting electronic apparatus having a light emitting device, a light receiving device, and a driving device for driving the light emitting device and the light receiving device, and serving to transmit/receive data to/from an outside through the light emitting device and the light receiving device, comprising a data signal input terminal for inputting a data signal from a data signal control device for controlling the driving device in order to transmit/receive data to/from the outside, a remote control signal input terminal for inputting a remote control signal from a remote control signal control device for controlling the driving device in order to remotely operate an external electronic apparatus, first current generating means for driving a suitable current for transmitting and receiving data into the light emitting device, second current generating means for driving a suitable current for transmitting the remote control signal into the light emitting device, and means for selectiv
