  • Patent number: 8107743
Abstract: The image processing device of the present invention includes: an image acquiring section (2) acquiring image data; an image data generating section (32) generating attribute data including each attribute value indicative of an attribute to which each of a plurality of pixels constituting an image indicated by the image data acquired by the image acquiring section (2) belongs among predetermined attributes; and image data reducing section (34) reducing the attribute data by converting, to one attribute value, at least two attribute values included in the attribute data generated by the attribute data generating section, according to a priority given to the each attribute value. Therefore, it becomes possible to realize an image processing device that can reduce the attribute data while keeping important information included in the attribute data, and further improve encoding efficiency of the attribute data.

  • Publication number: 20110242440
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device of the present invention includes a liquid crystal panel (20) having an area sensor function of detecting the position of an input from an outside source by detecting an image on a panel surface. The liquid crystal panel (20) has a plurality of light sensor elements (30) that detect the intensity of received light. The liquid crystal panel (20) is provided with: a light intensity sensor section (50), constituted by those ones of the light sensor elements (30) which are disposed in an outermost peripheral part of a display region (20a) of the liquid crystal panel (20), which detects the intensity of light in an environment where the device is placed; and visible light sensors (31A) and infrared light sensors (31B), constituted by those ones of the light sensor elements (30) other than those constituting the light intensity sensor section (50), which detect the position of an input from an outside source by the light sensor elements detecting an image on the panel surface.

  • Publication number: 20100225617
Abstract: A touch position detection device includes (i) infrared light sensors and visible light sensors which are sensitive to light of respective different wavelengths, and (ii) an external light intensity calculation section which calculates an estimated value serving as an index of external light intensity, which is intensity of light in the surroundings of a target subject. As such, the touch position detection device is capable of appropriately detecting a position of a figure of the target subject under a broad range of ambient light intensities.

  • Patent number: 7706618
Abstract: An input image is subjected to image region determination in a unit of prescribed block. Based on a result of image region determination, two or more pieces of layer data, of which validity or invalidity at the time of reproduction of the image is defined in a unit of prescribed block are generated by using data of the input image. Then, each of the two or more pieces of layer data is subjected to coding processing under a coding condition suitable for each of the generated two or more pieces of layer data, in a unit of block suitable for each of the two or more pieces of layer data.
