    Abstract: A pager having a first switch for selecting a scrolling direction, a second switch, a first display for displaying the selected scrolling direction, and a second display for displaying a received message with scrolling in the selected scrolling direction in response to the second switch. With only two switches, a next message, a previous message, a next page of the displayed message and a previous page of message can be displayed. Moreover, the first switch can select modes in addition to selection of the scrolling direction. Either of first and second switches can be omitted with an analyzing portion for analyzing an operation pattern of the remaining switch to provided first and second command signals for controlling the selection of the scrolling direction or modes and the controlling of the scrolling respectively. Therefore, with a few switches, various displaying of the received message can be provided and a cost of manufacturing this pager is reduced.

The impeller has a plane of rotation above a plane of rotation of the blades. The lower blower housing includes a flange for connection to the upper blower housing. The flange has an opening elongated in a direction along a passage defined by the two blower housings. This opening has width approximately half of the diameter of the impeller.

    Abstract: A working vehicle has a grass cutting unit vertically movable relative to a vehicle body, a lift mechanism for raising and lowering the grass cutting unit, a clutch for making and breaking transmission of blade driving power to the grass cutting unit, and a device for controlling the lift mechanism. The control device controls the lift mechanism to lower the grass cutting unit when the clutch is operated to transmit power to the grass cutting unit, and to raise the grass cutting unit when the clutch is operated to break power tranmission to the grass cutting unit. According to this construction, only a device for actuating the clutch may be operated to switch between an operative condition in which the grass cutting unit is lowered and its cutting blades driven, and an inoperative condition in which the grass cutting unit is raised with the cutting blades stopped. Alternatively, the control device may control the clutch through a device for actuating the lift mechanism.

    Abstract: A cooling system for a vertical, liquid cooled engine having a first passage for guiding cooling air to a cooling fan disposed above the engine, and a second passage for guiding the cooling air drawn by the cooling fan to flow past the engine and to be exhausted forwardly and downwardly of the engine. The first passage includes an air inlet defined rearwardly of the engine, and is defined by part of an engine hood, a vertical bracket plate erected behind the engine, and a partition extending from the engine hood over an upper surface of the engine. Devices accessory to the engine which are vulnerable to the heat are mounted in a space inside the first passage. The second passage is formed by an air guide cover enveloping the engine and cooling fan and defining an opening in a region opposed to the cooling fan. The air guide cover includes a front portion extending downwardly along the cylinder head.

A dust-proof space is defined by the control box, the radiator and a hinged hood covering the engine. Elastic sealing elements are arranged between opposite lateral sides of the control box and the radiator, and between an upper end of the radiator and the hood. The hood in a closed position presses upon the upper elastic elements to provide an additional support for the radiator and to seal the dust-proof space.
