Patent number: 11964618Abstract: In an undercover structure according to the present invention, a first cover part that is a lowermost part of an undercover has a first rear end positioned ahead of a front wheel axle. Further, a curved part with a predetermined curvature is formed at the first rear end of the first cover part in a side view. This generates a strong negative pressure in a region ahead of the front wheel axle 21. Accordingly, the flow rate of air flowing to each wheelhouse 23 decreases (the flow rate of the airflow between a road and a vehicle generated along the bottom surface of the first cover part 15a of the undercover 15 increases). This causes an attraction force that attracts the vehicle to a road surface to act on a vehicle body of the vehicle, thereby making traveling stability more excellent.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Kei Ambo, Kenichi Ando, Yoshiteru Hoshida, Yuki Nakamura, Yoji Suwa, Takumi Sobue

Patent number: 9061335Abstract: A cooling apparatus for hot rolling is installed on a downstream side of a finishing mill of a continuous hot rolling mill, and cools a steel sheet rolled by the finishing mill while being conveyed. The cooling apparatus includes first pinch rolls which, during an interval when the steel sheet fed out from a final stand of the finishing mill moves from a position of the final stand to a position where a surface temperature of the steel sheet reaches 850° C. or less, pinch the steel sheet while applying tension of 3.9 MPa or greater.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2009Date of Patent: June 23, 2015Assignee: NIPPON STEEL & SUMITOMO METAL CORPORATIONInventors: Yoshihiro Serizawa, Shigeru Ogawa, Yoji Nakamura, Tooru Akashi, Noriyuki Hishinuma, Tetsuo Kishimoto

Patent number: 8720242Abstract: The present invention provides a rolling mill of a plate or a sheet which eliminates rolling trouble due to warping of the rolled material and wavy shaped flatness defects running through the plate or sheet width direction such as “waviness”, “full waves, and “small waves” by providing a pair of a top and bottom work rolls, a pair of electric motors independently driving the pair of rolls, and control means for controlling one electric motor using the roll rotational speed as a control target value and controlling the other electric motor using the rolling torque applied to the rolled material from the work roll driven by that electric motor becoming substantially constant as a control target and using the drive torque as a control amount and a control technique of such a rolling mill of a plate or a sheet.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2008Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Assignee: Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal CorporationInventors: Shigeru Ogawa, Atsushi Ishii, Yoji Nakamura, Yasuhiro Higashida
