  • Patent number: 6084183
Abstract: A sensing element mounting structure which can facilitate the mounting of a sensing element into a trunnion shaft. In the sensing element mounting structure, in order that a sensing element for measuring the load of a vehicle can be mounted into the interior portion of a trunnion shaft mounted on a trunnion bracket of the vehicle and extending along the width direction of the vehicle, an insertion hole for storing therein a sensor main body of the sensing element is opened up in such a manner that it extends from one end of the trunnion shaft, which, when the trunnion shaft is mounted on the trunnion bracket, is situated on the outside of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction, toward the other end of the trunnion shaft, so that the insertion and removal of the sensor main body with respect to the interior portion of the insertion hole can be carried out from one end side situated on the outside in the vehicle width direction.

  • Patent number: 5986220
Abstract: A deadweight calculating apparatus including a deadweight calculating section for calculating deadweight of a vehicle provided with a start assisting unit for urging and pressing drive wheels to a road surface in response to signals output from sensors arranged to measure loads and attached to the vehicle. The apparatus further includes an assisting operation detection section for detecting whether or not the drive wheels are being urged and pressed to the road surface by the start assisting unit, and a calculation interrupting section for causing the deadweight calculating section to interrupt a calculation of the deadweight of the vehicle during a period in which the assisting operation detection section detects a fact that the drive wheels are being urged and pressed to the road surface by the start assisting unit.

  • Patent number: 5898135
Abstract: In accordance with an output signal from a weight sensor mounted on a vehicle, a display control section causes a display unit to display weights calculated at predetermined intervals by a weight calculating section. The display control section adds, to the weight which is being displayed, the difference in the weights sequentially calculated by the weight calculating section from detection of start of a loading/unloading operation performed by a detection section to start of running of the vehicle and causes the display unit to display the obtained weight. When a release detection section has detected release of the brake within a predetermined time from the stoppage of the vehicle, detection of start of a loading/unloading operation is inhibited for a predetermined time from detection of the release.

  • Patent number: 5817989
Abstract: A vehicle-load-weight display system includes a weight calculating means 1 which obtains the load weight from output signals from sensors mounted in a vehicle, a display means 2 displaying the load weight obtained by the calculating means 1, and a display control means 3 controlling the display means 2 during a run so as to display the load weight obtained prior to the run. The weight calculating means 1 obtains the load weight from output signals provided by the weight sensors in the initial part of each period at constant intervals, and the display control means 3 decides whether the vehicle is running by a pulse outputted from a run sensor during each of multiple periods. A detecting means 4 detecting the start of loading and unloading works when a given time has passed after the vehicle stopped running.

  • Patent number: 5684254
Abstract: A vehicle load measuring device includes a sensing element for detecting a strain to measure the load of a vehicle, in which the sensing element is formed in a pin shape, and a device for supporting a suspension of the vehicle, in which a hole is formed in the supporting device and the sensing element is fitted into the hole, wherein the load of the vehicle is measured based on the strain detected by the sensing element produced in response to the load supported by the supporting device, and a positioning groove being formed on a surface of the device for supporting a suspension, wherein when the device for supporting a suspension connects a suspension with a bracket on the vehicle the device for supporting a suspension is positioned by use of the positioning groove, thereby determining the direction of the load to be applied to the sensing element and preventing the device for supporting a suspension from moving in a predetermined direction with respect to the bracket.
