  • Patent number: 8093361
Abstract: The present invention provides an antibody which specifically recognizes three-dimensional structure of an extracellular region of a polypeptide encoded by PERP (p53 apoptosis effector related to PMP-22) gene and binds to the extracellular region. The antibody of the present invention is useful for treatment of various diseases which highly expresses a polypeptide encoded by the PERP gene. Also, a polypeptide encoded by the PERP gene or a cell expressing the polypeptide can be specifically detected by an immunological method using the antibody, so that the antibody is useful for diagnosis of various diseases related to PERP.

  • Patent number: 8036580
Abstract: A toner supplying roller is provided in which a polyurethane foam layer can be obtained without decreasing the reactivity of the polyurethane material, and in which contamination by a catalyst remaining in the polyurethane foam layer is suppressed, so that a good image can be obtained. Moreover, the toner supplying roller has suitable aperture cells in the surface, suitably performs the scraping off of the development residual toner and toner supply between the toner supplying roller and the developing roller, and forms a uniform toner thin film on the developing roller, so that a good image can be obtained. In a toner supplying roller including a polyurethane foam layer that is formed on the mandrel periphery using a polyurethane material including a polyol and a polyisocyanate, the polyol and the polyisocyanate have an amine number of 3 mg KOH/g or more and 15 mg KOH/g or less in total.

  • Patent number: 6186398
Abstract: A magnetic card in which a magnetic layer is successfully concealed without lowering the magnetic output of the magnetic layer and giving any restriction to the design of the card. Such a magnetic card can be produced in the following manner. A magnetic layer (magnetic stripe) 12 is formed on a substrate 11 by means of thermal transfer, and a thin film layer 13 is formed, by vacuum deposition or the like, on the entire surface of the substrate 11 including the surface of the magnetic layer 12 to conceal the magnetic layer 12. Patterns, etc. are printed on the surface of the thin film layer 13 to form a print layer 14, and a light-diffractive structure layer 15 is further formed on the print layer 14 of thermal transfer. On the other hand, a print layer 14A is provided on the back surface of the substrate 11, and a reverse side protective layer 16 is further provided on the print layer 14A to cover it.
