  • Publication number: 20190092637
Abstract: This ozone supply device includes an ozone generator, an adsorption tower, a standby unit, a pressure reducing device, an ozone supply unit, a low-temperature coolant circulator, and a control unit which causes a generated ozonized gas to be adsorbed to a cooled adsorbent and desorbs the ozonized gas adsorbed to the adsorbent, thereby concentrating the ozonized gas, wherein the control unit performs control so that the pressure in the adsorption tower in a standby state where the ozonized gas desorbed from the adsorbent in the adsorption tower is caused to stand by in the standby unit becomes lower than the pressure in the adsorption tower in the adsorption.

  • Patent number: 6684328
Abstract: An information processing apparatus performs predetermined processing by executing a computer program. A program memory stores two boot addresses #1 and #2, each of which serves as an address from which a basic program including a boot program for performing a booting operation is stored. In installing a basic program, the boot addresses #1 and #2 are alternately selected to store the basic program. In starting an apparatus, an error of the computer program stored in the program memory is detected, and upon detection, one of the boot addresses #1 and #2 is selected, and the basic program stored from the selected address is executed. The version compatibilities of a basic program or an application program are described in the basic program or the application program. Upon upgrading the version of the application program, it is determined whether the version of the application program is compatible with the version of the basic program, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 6539474
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a rewritable non-volatile memory with first and second areas for storing a boot program, a central processing unit (CPU), a downloader for downloading a new boot program from outside the information processing apparatus, and a status monitoring circuit. The status monitoring circuit includes a status memory for periodically storing a boot selecting signal, which may change in response to a detected error. The status monitoring circuit generates a reset signal for rebooting if an error is detected and also selects a boot address, which indicates whether the first or second memory area should be used for the reboot in response to the boot selecting signal.

  • Patent number: 6363402
Abstract: Installation of an application program which is not compatible with a version of an OS is prevented. On a transmission side, information bits of one code word are assumed to represent the entirety of both an application program to be distributed to a receiving side and system software, including an OS of a version with which the application program is compatible, and an ECC for the information bits is computed and is attached to the application program. On the receiving side, compatibility between the application program and the system software which has already been installed is determined on the basis of the ECC attached to the distributed application program, and the distributed application program is installed on the basis of the determination result.

  • Publication number: 20010020263
Abstract: There are provided a non-volatile memory in which two physical sectors have been set as areas to store a basic program, an apparatus for obtaining a new basic program from the outside, and a processor for executing an application program stored in the memory in accordance with the basic program stored in the memory. The processor allows the obtained new basic program to be stored into the physical sector which is not used to write the basic program between the two physical sectors in the memory. A new basic program is stored into the other physical sector which is not the physical sector in which the basic program has been stored at the preceding time. Upon activation, the physical sector to write the basic program is switched in accordance with whether the program is normally activated or not.

  • Patent number: 6286037
Abstract: A virtual environment desired by a user is set in a list. Program information is received and supplied to a program specification getting portion, and a program is received and supplied to a capture portion. When the program supplied to the capture portion is confirmed to match with the list as a result of comparison between the list and the program information, the program is stored in a buffer. Instructions for installing the program are acquired from the program information in an install instruction getting portion, and the program is installed by a virtual environment setting portion. If a resource necessary for starting up the program is not found by a check of system resources by a system resource checking portion, an instruction is sent to a communication port to receive the necessary resource.
