  • Publication number: 20130124256
Abstract: The invention is a method and system for monitoring plant assets automatically comprising the steps of calculating a sum of the plant assets to be monitored, storing the calculated sum in a database, calculating a sum of the bad actors, computing the percentage of bad actors from the calculated sum, storing the computed percentage of bad actors into the database, calculating a current sum of the plant assets to be monitored after a predetermined interval, retrieving the stored sum of the plant assets, determining whether the current sum of the plant assets corresponds to the stored sum. When the stored sum corresponds to the current sum, the current sum of bad actors is calculated, the percentage of bad actors is computed from the calculated sum to determine an Asset Health Risk Index (“ARI”).

  • Publication number: 20130116813
Abstract: An operating and monitoring apparatus for monitoring an operating condition of a plant through a monitoring screen of the present disclosure. The apparatus includes a storage unit which stores a plurality of display screens to be displayed on the monitoring screen; a receipt unit which receives an operation of selecting one display screen among the display screens stored in the storage unit; and a display unit which displays the display screen, selected through the receipt unit, on the monitoring screen. The display screens stored in the storage unit includes, for example, five to nine display elements, and the display elements are, for example, graphs or patterns associated with numerical values based on data acquired from the plant.

  • Publication number: 20130113700
Abstract: An operating and monitoring screen displaying apparatus according to the present disclosure selects a screen among a plurality of split display screens displaying information about a part of a process in a plant and displays the selected screen as an operating and monitoring screen. The apparatus includes a receipt unit which receives a selection of a screen to be displayed among a plurality of split display screens; a split screen display unit which displays the screen selected through the receipt unit; and a map display unit which displays a map in which process elements constituting the process are associated with display areas, and indicates, on the map, a display area associated with a process element included in the screen being displayed by the split screen display unit.

  • Publication number: 20130107804
Abstract: A communication system constructs a communication network using a hopping pattern designated in a router advertisement between a wireless communication device that transmits the router advertisement designating the hopping pattern of channel hopping and an opposite party communication device that receives the router advertisement. The wireless communication device comprises a receiver configured to receive a router advertisement transmitted from another wireless communication device, a generator configured to generate the hopping pattern that does not use the same channel at the same time with respect to a hopping pattern that is designated by the router advertisement received by the receiver, and a transmitter configured to transmit the router advertisement that designates the hopping pattern generated by the generator.

  • Publication number: 20130100984
Abstract: The present apparatus includes: an intensity ratio calculation unit configured to calculate a first and a second intensity ratios which are ratios of Stokes light intensity to anti-Stokes light intensity obtained when a light pulse is output to a first end and a second end of an optical fiber, respectively; a temperature calculation unit configured to calculate a temperature distribution along the optical fiber based on a reference temperature, the first and the second intensity ratios, and a total length loss ratio, which is a loss ratio of Stokes light to anti-Stokes light with regard to a total length of the optical fiber; and a total length loss ratio calculation unit configured to calculate the total length loss ratio based on the first and the second intensity ratios with regard to a location in a predetermined section close to both ends of the optical fiber whose temperature is kept constant.
