Abstract: Disclosed are abrasive particles, a method for manufacturing the abrasive particles, and a method for manufacturing a Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) slurry. The method for manufacturing abrasive particles for the CMP slurry includes preparing a raw material precursor, drying the raw material precursor, and calcining the dried raw material precursor using a calcination furnace where a gas atmosphere having relatively less oxygen in comparison with an air atmosphere is created.

Abstract: A method of updating channel information by a mobile station (MS) that is in power saving mode is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes the MS which receives status information of a first channel descriptor and transmission frame information which includes when the first channel descriptor is to be transmitted. Furthermore, the MS compares status information of the first channel descriptor with status information of a second channel descriptor. Here, the second channel descriptor is stored in the MS. Lastly, if the compared status information are different, the MS receives the first channel descriptor according to the transmission frame information.

Abstract: A switch mechanism includes a frame, an electrical switch on the frame, a lever extending from the frame alongside the switch and including an activation portion whereupon deflection of the lever, the activation portion bears upon the switch so as to activate the switch A force-transfer device associated with the frame moves upon user-activation to deflect the lever. Furthermore, the present switch mechanism is not limited in its application to ON-OFF switches as it could be equally applied to other function switches of low-profile devices.

Abstract: The primitives between an upper management layer and the MAC layer within a mobile station and a base station are defined in order to specify and clarify the operations within the protocol stack layers in a broadband wireless access system to allow a mobile station to perform a method of connecting to the network. Media Independent Handover (MIH) procedures can be achieved because the NCMS and MIH layer can communicate through use of these primitives.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes an electronic circuit for providing a power current to an LED lamp. The electronic circuit comprises a logic drive circuit, a VCO, a power switch, and a first current sensor. The VCO is coupled to provide a first logic control signal to the logic drive circuit. The power switch has a first terminal and second terminal coupled to deliver the power current to the LED lamp and a control terminal coupled to receive a power control signal from the logic drive circuit. The first current sensor is coupled to sense a peak current passing through the power switch and coupled to provide a second logic control signal to the logic drive circuit.

Abstract: An exemplary polishing brush includes a mounting member, a plurality of polishing bristles and a latching member. The mounting member defines a plurality of through holes. Each of the polishing bristles is partially inserted into one of the plurality of through holes respectively. The latching member connects with all of the polishing bristles at a side of the through holes of the mounting member, and fixed in the mounting member. When the latching member is disconnected from the mounting member, the polishing bristles are detached from the mounting member.

Abstract: An apparatus to sense the temperature of an ink-jet head includes at least one or more CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) lateral BJTs (bipolar junction transistors) to sense the temperature of the ink-jet head, and a current supply unit to supply a current to the CMOS lateral BJTs. Minimum sized CMOS lateral BJTs are applied to an ink-jet printer head so that precise temperature control can be performed in a shuttle or array type ink-jet printer.

Abstract: A block decoding circuit of a semiconductor memory device includes a plurality of block decoders, a plurality of repair address check circuits, a dummy repair address check circuit and a block selection signal generation circuit. The plurality of block decoders are configured to decode a received block selection address. The plurality of repair address check circuits are configured to generate second output signals based on whether a received block selection address and word line selection address are repair addresses. The dummy repair address check circuit is configured to generate a control signal in response to the block selection address and the word line selection address. The block selection signal generation circuit is configured to generate block selection signals based on the first output signals from the plurality of block decoders, the control signal from the dummy repair address circuit, and the second output signals from the repair address check circuits.

Abstract: An energy-absorbing hood assembly for a vehicle includes upper, lower, and middle panels. The upper and lower panels respectively include first and second interface surfaces. The upper panel is preferably secured to an inner surface of an outer panel. The middle panel has opposing first and second surfaces defining an asymmetric waveform profile, preferably having a polygonal geometry. The middle panel member is secured to the first and second interface surfaces at preselected locations along the upper and lower surfaces, thereby defining a plurality of laterally oriented asymmetric channels. Abstract: Provided are an organic light-emitting display device and a manufacturing method of the organic light emitting display device. The organic light-emitting display device includes: a substrate; a display unit formed on the substrate; an encapsulation substrate formed above the display unit; a first sealant bonding the substrate and the encapsulation substrate; a filler formed between the substrate and the encapsulation substrate; and a second sealant interposed between the first sealant and the filler so as to separate the filler from the first sealant, wherein a distance of a portion of the substrate and the encapsulation substrate is smaller than that of other portions of the substrate and the encapsulation substrate. Accordingly, penetration of impurities, such as oxygen or water, from the outside into the organic light emitting display device is prevented.

Abstract: The invention is a lifter plate for a window regulator adapted for the insertion of a window glass. The lift plate includes a main body portion adapted for translational movement by the window regulator. A flange jaw is spaced apart from the main body portion and connected to the main body portion by a flexible joint interconnecting the body portion and the flange jaw. The flexible joint is integrally formed as part of the lifter plate and is shaped in an undulating waveform pattern.

The tilt angle sensor comprises: a spring member having a fixed end a free end that has a flexibility to be bent at least in one direction; a magnetic field generating device for generating a magnetic field, which is mounted at the free end of the spring member; a magnetic field detecting device provided by facing the magnetic field generating device for detecting a direction of the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating device; and a damping device for giving a damping force to a bending action of the spring member.

Abstract: Provided is a dye-sensitized solar cell. Specifically, the present invention provides a dye-sensitized solar cell which is designed to reduce the production cost, improve productivity and increase energy efficiency by using a carbon electrode as a counter electrode, and a manufacturing method thereof. The dye-sensitized solar cell according to the present invention is characterized by comprising a working electrode, a counter electrode, and an electrolytic layer separating the two electrodes, wherein the counter electrode comprises a carbon electrode formed on a first transparent substrate, wherein the carbon electrode is a conductive transparent carbon electrode. According to the present invention, it is possible to remarkably reduce the production cost by using a relatively low-cost material, i.e. carbon electrode, and improve the solar cell efficiency by preventing oxidation with the electrolytic layer owing to corrosion and oxidation resistance of the carbon electrode.
