  • Publication number: 20240093443
Abstract: Disclosed in the present disclosure is a double-deck multi-span bridge construction method. According to the double-deck bridge construction method of the present disclosure, construction is carried out by using a method of disassembling a support jig frame in a graded and span-separated mode, an upper chord jig frame and a lower chord jig frame can be used in a recycle manner, and construction costs are reduced. In addition, a construction period of building the support jig frame is shortened, and other construction operations can be synchronously carried out on a span in which the jig frame is disassembled, for example, fire retardant coating construction can be carried out on a mounted bridge deck after the jig frame is disassembled, and the construction period of a double-deck multi-span bridge is effectively shortened.

  • Publication number: 20220406080
Abstract: There is provided a cell analysis apparatus that comprises image capture circuitry for capturing a brightfield image of a cell using brightfield imaging. The cell has been dyed by a functional dye that indicates, during fluorescence imaging and during brightfield imaging, whether the cell has a given characteristic. A model derived by machine learning is stored and used in combination with the brightfield image to determine whether the cell has the given characteristic. There is also provided a method for creating a cell categorisation model, comprising applying a functional dye to one or more samples comprising a plurality of cells. The functional dye indicates during fluorescence imaging and during brightfield imaging whether each of the cells has a given characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20220404258
Abstract: A calibration apparatus comprises estimation circuitry configured to estimate, based on a calibration factor, an estimated number of cells of a first type in a dyed biological sample containing an unknown number of cells. Determination circuitry determines the actual number of cells of the first type in the dyed biological sample. Processing circuitry adjusts the calibration factor. The estimation circuitry is configured with the processing circuitry to estimate the estimated number of the cells of the first type in the dyed biological sample one or more times, based on a different value of the calibration factor for each of the one or more times, until the estimated number of the cells of the first type approaches the actual number of cells of the first type.

  • Patent number: 11282175
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus with a sample holder to hold a sample to be imaged. An image capture device has a field of view and captures an image of the field of view. Also provided is an actuator. A controller controls the actuator to cause relative movement between the sample holder and the image capture device at a given speed and at a given direction during an exposure time of the image capture device such that, in use, the sample moves across at least a portion of the field of view during the exposure time. A processor performs a deblur algorithm to deblur the image using the given speed and the given direction.

  • Patent number: 11279910
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus comprising a receptacle to receive a sample. A sample dispenser dispenses the sample into the receptacle and an image capture device captures an image of the sample in the receptacle. Processing circuitry processes the image to determine whether the receptacle contains zero cells, exactly one cell, or more than one cell. In response to the processor determining that the receptacle contains zero cells, the processing circuitry causes the sample dispenser to dispense a further sample into the receptacle.

In response to the determination that the receptacle contains zero cells, the sample dispenser dispenses a further sample into the receptacle. A matrix dispenser dispenses a matrix into the receptacle. However, the matrix is only added to the receptacle after the image of the sample in the receptacle has been captured and after the processing circuitry has processed the image and determined that the receptacle contains exactly one cell.

  • Publication number: 20140088890
Abstract: Temperature compensation is performed using a computation program for temperature compensation, a computation processing, and a sensor. Deformation in a diaphragm caused by a pressure change due to the temperature of the gas in a cavity is cancelled out, and deformation of the diaphragm is minimized within the target temperature range, thereby allowing an optimum temperature compensation to be performed. The temperature compensation in a capacitance-type sensor executes calculation steps which include including a calculation step (S17) of acquiring the amount of change ?C? in capacitance. A parameter ?C? is obtained, through which it is possible to determine the degree of compensation for the deformation in the diaphragm section caused by a pressure change due to the temperature changes of the gas in the hermetically sealed space.

  • Patent number: 8414830
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a holder for biological sample containers such as well plates. The holder comprises a flat vacuum bed surrounded by a seal. A container is placed within the seal and a vacuum is applied, pressing and flattening the lower surface of the sample container against the flat vacuum bed. Samples in all portions of the container may then be imaged without the need to refocus on each portion of the container. For imaging, a sample in a well can be illuminated by a beam of light arranged so that a part or all of the sample is illuminated by direct rays that have not passed through the well plate. The beam is redirected to other parts of the well if a single illumination does not cover the whole well, so that the sample is imaged using a series of partial images.

  • Patent number: 8293526
Abstract: Animal cell colonies are picked up automatically by an apparatus having a picking head with a plurality of hollow pins and an integrated imager for capturing an image of adherent or non-adherent animal cell colonies held in liquid or semi-solid medium. Image processing identifies the locations of the animal cell colonies to be picked. Picking an animal cell colony is performed by aligning each of the hollow pins in turn with a target animal cell colony location, introducing the hollow pin into the medium, and aspirating the animal cell colony into the hollow pin. In the case of an adherent colony, the distal end of the pin is forced into oscillation to detach the animal cell colony prior to aspiration. The animal cell colony is dispensed into a well plate by increasing pressure in the fluid conduit.
