Abstract: A mobile terminal to manage a location using multimedia data and a method thereof are disclosed. The mobile terminal acquires a Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite signal in a camera preview and utilizes the GPS satellite signal in a map service in association with multimedia data. In addition, the mobile terminal acquires and stores place name information from a location guide service using location information, and provides a service using the location information stored in the multimedia data.
