In channel equalization for restoring an original signal from a digital TV reception signal having passed through a channel, the present invention includes estimating an impulse response of the channel from a received signal having passed through the channel using conjugate-gradient algorithm, finding an equalizer coefficient in a frequency domain using the estimated impulse response of the channel, outputting a signal equalized by multiplying a signal resulting from transforming the received signal into the frequency domain by the found equalizer coefficient, and predicting to remove an amplified noise of the equalized signal using the conjugate-gradient algorithm in a time domain.
