Abstract: An equipment inspecting device for inspecting at least one piece of equipment positioned in an office from among a plurality of offices included in the equipment inspection target recognizes office information for indicating a position of an office, and searches office equipment information for indicating a previous state of at least one piece of equipment positioned in the office by using the office information. The equipment inspecting device transmits the searched office equipment information to the equipment information collecting device so that an equipment information collecting device for collecting at least one piece of equipment information corresponding to at least one piece of equipment may generate update information for indicating a state change of at least one piece of equipment. Also, the equipment inspecting device receives the update information from the equipment information collecting device, and updates office equipment information by using the update information.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for performing handover in a mobile communication network are provided. The method of performing handover in a mobile communication network includes: obtaining a service providing time period and a utility function on a candidate network basis; obtaining a selection function of each of the candidate networks using the utility function and the service providing time period; and selecting a network for handover among the plurality of mobile networks using the selection function. Therefore, in consideration of user satisfaction and a network service quality, utility functions are defined and by selecting a network for handover using the utility functions, a network suitable for a user environment can be effectively selected and thus it is possible to perform handover that has a performance and a cost suitable for user request and that can maximize a quality of a mobile service.

Abstract: The present invention records A/V data and navigation information in a first format such as DVD-Video format when a disk apparatus, e.g., a DVD recorder conducts data recording operation. During the recording operation, video object unit search information ‘VOBU_SRI’ among data search information ‘DSI’ contained in the navigation information is recorded in a second format such as DVD+R or DVD+RW format, thereby reducing size of the navigation information to be recorded on an optical disk.

Abstract: A system for calculating postal charges receives detailed information and configuration information about a bulk mail, and collects charge-calculation information on the basis of the detailed information and the configuration information. Then, the system determines discount rates for the bulk mail on the basis of the charge-calculation information, and generates charge information for the mails in consideration of the discount rates. Accordingly, the system for calculating postal charges can provide optimum charges for the mails to a client before the reception of the mails.

Abstract: A reset method and apparatus for a color liquid crystal display device that is capable of reducing a reset interval of a panel to increase a lighting time of a back light. In the method and apparatus, a reset voltage is simultaneously applied to all liquid crystal cells of the liquid crystal display device to reset the liquid crystal display device. Accordingly, all the liquid crystal cells are simultaneously reset by utilizing a common voltage or a gate voltage, so that the reset interval can not only be dramatically shortened to reduce flicker, but also color interference among red, green and blue colors can be eliminated to prevent color blur.

Abstract: A cathode ray tube comprises a panel of which outer surface is substantially flat and inner surface has a designated radius of curvature, a shadow mask coupled to the panel, the shadow mask having electron beam passing holes, and a reinforcing band mounted on the outer surface of the panel, wherein a diagonal size of an effective surface of the panel is in the range of 397-463 mm, and a thickness of a diagonal end of the effective surface of the panel is in the range of 20-23 mm.

Abstract: A method of driving a liquid crystal display panel that is adaptive for providing the entire panel with a brightness uniformity. In the method, the scanning direction of the panel is inverted at a desired period, for example, every frame, or within a frame. Accordingly, the average turn-on interval of all of the pixels within the panel becomes equal, so that the brightness of the entire panel can be uniform.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a support frame for a cathode-ray tube which is capable of preventing damage of a corner portion of a support frame circumference in forming of the support frame. The support frame for supporting a shadow mask of a cathode-ray tube in accordance with the present invention comprises notches formed on a certain portion of an upper surface of the corner portion of the support frame circumference, in more detail on the longer side and shorter side of the support frame circumference.
