Abstract: A multicast packet forwarding method is applied to forward multicast packets from an ingress node to egress nodes of a multicast group in a network domain, and at least one network node in the multicast network domain performs the following steps. A multicast packet of a multicast group is received. Node information about the egress nodes that the multicast packet needs to reach is determined, in which the egress nodes that need to be reached include the egress nodes successfully joining in the multicast group. The node information about the egress nodes that the multicast packet needs to reach is added in the multicast packet. The multicast packet carrying the node information about the egress nodes is sent out. A multicast packet forwarding apparatus and a multicast system are also provided.

Abstract: A method, device and system for implementing the multicast service are provided, and the method comprises: at the ingress node and exit node of the multicast path, establishing the mapping relationship information between the original multicast address identifier of the multicast service data and the multicast address identifier inside the bearer network; when the multicast source sends the multicast service data, the ingress node maps the original multicast address identifier of the multicast service data to the multicast address identifier inside the bearer network according to the mapping relationship information, and sends the multicast service data to the exit node along the multicast path; and the exit node maps the multicast identifier of the multicast service data inside the bearer network to the original multicast address identifier according to the mapping relationship information, and sends it to the receiving side of the multicast service data.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a sensor probe for fiber-based electric current sensors. The sensor probe includes a conductor of spiral shape and a relatively straight optical fiber being placed at a through-hole formed by the spiral shape conductor. An electric current conveyed by the spiral shape conductor causes polarization direction of a light traveling along the optical fiber to rotate. By detecting the amount of rotation that the light experiences at the ends of the optical fiber, the amount of current carried by the spiral shape conductor is determined. Method of making the sensor probe is also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for coding block boundary detection using interpolated autocorrelation is disclosed. Input video frames are processed to obtain a binary map of possible block boundary pixels including original and rescaled block boundaries. The boundary pixel map is converted to a boundary histogram. Then interpolated autocorrelation is applied to the boundary histogram to detect the block size and block size offset. The interpolated autocorrelation handles both integer sizes and non-integer sizes. A confidence measure is also determined that reflects the accuracy of the detection result. The output for the current video frame is also post processed with information from previous frames to provide better temporal stability.

Abstract: Electroporation is performed in a controlled manner in either individual or multiple biological cells or biological tissue by monitoring the electrical impedance, defined herein as the ratio of current to voltage in the electroporation cell. The impedance detects the onset of electroporation in the biological cell(s), and this information is used to control the intensity and duration of the voltage to assure that electroporation has occurred without destroying the cell(s). This is applicable to electroporation in general. In addition, a particular method and apparatus are disclosed in which electroporation and/or mass transfer across a cell membrane are accomplished by securing a cell across an opening in a barrier between two chambers such that the cell closes the opening. The barrier is either electrically insulating, impermeable to the solute, or both, depending on whether pore formation, diffusive transport of the solute across the membrane, or both are sought.

The method includes: a router transmitting to a layer-2 device network a Router Advertisement message carrying routing prefix information; the layer-2 device network generating extended routing prefix information which identifies the downlink port uniquely within the broadcast domain of the subnet where the layer-2 device network is located according to the routing prefix information in the Router Advertisement message, and transmitting to the terminal device a Router Advertisement message carrying the extended routing prefix information; and the terminal device generating its IP address according to the extended routing prefix information in the Router Advertisement message and an Interface ID of the terminal device.

Abstract: Transfecting biology cells with nucleic acid molecules (DNA, siRNA) is an essential prerequisite in elucidating how genes function in complex cellular context and how their activities could be modulated for therapeutic intervention. Traditionally studies are carried out on a low throughput gene-by-gene scale, which has created a huge bottleneck in functional genomic study and drug discovery. Development of high-throughput cell transfection technology will permit functional analysis of massive number of genes and how their activities could be modulated by chemical or biological entities inside cells. This invention describes design, construction of device and apparatus for high throughput effective cell transfection. Procedures and protocols for using the device and apparatus are also described in the application. Novel methods of using the device in cell-based assays are also disclosed.

The video image processing system receives and makes input image data available for further processing; analyzes the local features of the input image data; filters the input image data before performing interpolation process; modifies the phase value adaptive to the local edge distance; rescales the input image data in horizontal interpolation using the modified phase value; and rescales the horizontally interpolated image data in vertical interpolation using modified phase value.

The optical coupler includes a fused optical coupling region made of part of a first and a second single-mode (SM) fiber, with a portion of the second SM fiber being a pigtail fiber on a first side of the fused optical coupling region; and a first and a second polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber on the first side and a second side of the fused optical coupling region respectively. Methods of making the optical coupler and system that utilizes the optical coupler are also provided.

Corresponding equipment and system also are provided. The invention can ensure flexible authentication and accounting capability, meanwhile it also ensure the user can switch channel quickly according to the present invention.

Abstract: A control system includes a user management server or server group, a Service Policy Decision Function (SPDF) server, an Access-Resource and Admission Control Function (A-RACF) server, and a control interface location between the user management server or server group and the SPDF n server for transmitting the information. In addition, a control method using the control system above and a control device are provided. By the technical solutions above, when there are many access network operators connecting to the uniform network operation operator, the problem that the SPDF server searches the A-RACF server is solved, and the user information is acquired by setting the interface between the SPDF server and the user management server or server group.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for scan conversion and interpolation of linear array steering imaging in an ultrasonic system are disclosed. The method computes the points that are most related to the point to be interpolated in the principal direction of the point spread function and performs interpolation in the principal direction of the point spread function according to the steering angle of the scan lines so as to obtain a more accurate interpolation result.

The method includes: determining, by a first resource management and control function entity in the first management domain network, a link to the second management domain network, and sending identifier information of the determined link to a second resource management and control function entity in the second management domain network; and determining, by the second resource management and control function entity, the link to the first management domain network, in accordance with the received identifier information of the determined link. The invention can implement selecting of an edge connection link across different management domain networks.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for the Agrobacterium-mediated germline genetic transformation of soybean. The method is based on Agrobacterium-mediated gene delivery to individual cells in a freshly germinated soybean meristem, which cells can be induced directly to form shoots that give rise to transgenic plants. This method does not involve callus-phase tissue culture and is rapid and efficient.
