    Abstract: A method for mass rearing of Telenomus remus includes the following steps: (1) establishing a Telenomus remus population of a Corcyra cephalonica strain; (2) collecting Corcyra cephalonica eggs laid by Corcyra cephalonica on the day, and fixing the Corcyra cephalonica eggs on a sticker; (3) inoculating female Telenomus remus of the Corcyra cephalonica strain in the step (1) into the Corcyra cephalonica eggs in the step (2); and (4) after 24 h to 48 h of a parasitism, taking parasitic Corcyra cephalonica eggs out, and feeding the parasitic Corcyra cephalonica eggs under the following conditions: a temperature: 26±1° C., a relative humidity: 65±5%, and a photoperiod: L:D=14:10, where long axes of the Corcyra cephalonica eggs in the step (2) have a length of 0.48 mm to 0.60 mm. The method of the present disclosure has great significance for the long-term control of pests of the Noctuidae family.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for vector-quantized image modeling using vision transformers and improved codebook handling. In particular, the present disclosure provides a Vector-quantized Image Modeling (VIM) approach that involves pre-training a machine learning model (e.g., Transformer model) to predict rasterized image tokens autoregressively. The discrete image tokens can be encoded from a learned Vision-Transformer-based VQGAN (example implementations of which can be referred to as ViT-VQGAN). The present disclosure proposes multiple improvements over vanilla VQGAN from architecture to codebook learning, yielding better efficiency and reconstruction fidelity. The improved ViT-VQGAN further improves vector-quantized image modeling tasks, including unconditional image generation, conditioned image generation (e.g., class-conditioned image generation), and unsupervised representation learning.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for experimentally determining a critical sand-carrying gas velocity of a shale gas well. The method includes: collecting well structure and production data, calculating parameter ranges of a gas flow velocity and a liquid flow velocity; carrying out a physical simulation experiment of sand carrying in the shale gas well to obtain the sand holding capacity of the wellbore under different experimental conditions, and calculating a sand holding rate; by observing a change curve of the sand holding rate of the wellbore vs. the gas flow velocity, defining a turning point, and sensitively analyzing the influence of other experimental variables on the turning point, to calculate the critical sand-carrying production of the shale gas well under different conditions. Therefore, this calculation method is simple and applicable, and provides a theoretical basis for the optimization design of water drainage and gas production process.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method of training a streaming speech recognition model that includes receiving, as input to the streaming speech recognition model, a sequence of acoustic frames. The streaming speech recognition model is configured to learn an alignment probability between the sequence of acoustic frames and an output sequence of vocabulary tokens. The vocabulary tokens include a plurality of label tokens and a blank token. At each output step, the method includes determining a first probability of emitting one of the label tokens and determining a second probability of emitting the blank token. The method also includes generating the alignment probability at a sequence level based on the first probability and the second probability. The method also includes applying a tuning parameter to the alignment probability at the sequence level to maximize the first probability of emitting one of the label tokens.

    Abstract: Described herein are antioxidant peptides and methods of producing the same. The antioxidant peptides are produced from cereal grain protein sources, which provide a number of advantages over more expensive antioxidant sources and synthetically-produced antioxidants. The antioxidant peptides are produced by reacting the cereal grain material with an enzyme capable of hydrolyzing proteins within the material, thereby forming hydrolysate peptides. The hydrolysate peptides are then selectively recovered to form an antioxidant peptide product. The antioxidant peptide product is useful in a number of applications, particularly as an ingredient in a food product to provide antioxidant properties to the food product.
