  • Publication number: 20070196480
Abstract: The sustained release formulation for oral administration of an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor of the present invention can be easily and economically prepared and is capable of maintaining a constant drug level in blood by slowly releasing the HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor at a uniform rate for 24 hrs. Accordingly, the sustained release formulation of the present invention can be effectively used for lowering blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

  • Publication number: 20070041217
Abstract: A mold frame that is useful for enhancing the luminance and reducing leakage current in a display device or a backlight assembly is presented. The mold frame includes a first face and a second face. The mold frame covers the ends of each of a plurality of lamps and supports an optical member placed on the lamps. The first face supports the optical member. The second face, which extends from the first face, includes a lamp-inserting portion into which the ends of the lamps are inserted, and a lamp-fixing member arranged in each of the lamp-inserting portions to support the lamps. With the invention, straight portions of a U-shaped CCFL are arranged substantially parallel to each other so that leakage current is reduced. Formation of a temperature gradient within a lamp is reduced or suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20060072322
Abstract: A backlight assembly includes at least one U-shaped lamp, a first connecting member, and a second connecting member. The U-shaped lamp includes a U-shaped lamp tube, a first external electrode covering a first end portion of the U-shaped lamp tube, and a second external electrode covering a second end portion of the U-shaped lamp tube. The U-shaped lamp tube generates light when a first driving voltage is applied to the first external electrode and a second driving voltage is applied to the second external electrode. The first connecting member is electrically connected to the first external electrode for applying the first driving voltage to the first external electrode. The second connecting member is electrically connected to the second external electrode for applying the second driving voltage to the second external electrode. Therefore, interference between a wire for applying power to the U-shaped lamp and the U-shaped lamp is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060044780
Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a plurality of lamps emitting a first light. A optical member converts the first light to a second light having enhance optical characteristics. A receiving member receives the lamps and the optical member. The receiving member has protrusions that are aligned with the lamps and protrude away from the lamps. The protrusions increase the distance between the lamps and the receiving member, thereby reducing current leakage from the lamp.

  • Publication number: 20030234900
Abstract: A prism sheet that allows light that is incident with an angle below 2.8° with respect to an axis normal to a light incident surface to be refracted and emitted, and a liquid crystal display device including the prism sheet are presented. The prism sheet includes a first surface through which light from a light source enters the prism sheet and a second surface through which the light exits the prism sheet. The second surface also includes polygonal protruding members having length axes substantially parallel to each other. Each of the polygonal protruding members has at least one first side forming an angle ranging from 65° to 75° with respect to a line normal to the first surface, and at least one second side forming an angle ranged from 40° to 50° with respect to a line normal to the first surface.

  • Patent number: 6306216
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for deposition of thin films on a plurality of wafers through an atomic layer epitaxial process within a reaction chamber. The apparatus has a susceptor, provided within the reaction chamber to hold the wafers and has of a plurality of wafer stations. A plurality of wafer seating units are provided in the wafer stations, and seat the wafers in the wafer stations. A gas ejecting unit is provided within the reaction chamber, and ejects reaction gases onto the reaction surfaces of the wafers. A gas feeding unit feeds the reaction gases to the gas ejecting unit at predetermined time intervals so as to allow the gas ejecting unit to alternately eject the reaction gases through each of two gas outlets into the reaction chamber. A susceptor drive unit rotates the susceptor at a predetermined velocity and vertically moves the susceptor to an upper optimal reaction position close to the ceiling of the reaction chamber.
