  • Patent number: 8786775
Abstract: Provided are a display system and a method of outputting an image signal corresponding to a display panel. The display system includes an image processor converting original video data input from a video signal converting unit into converted video data corresponding to a recognized output standard and outputting the converted video data; and a display unit including a memory storing characteristic information and serving to display the converted video data as visual information. Here, the image processor reads out the characteristic information from the memory to recognize the output standard. Accordingly, it is possible to adaptively cope with the case where only the display panel is replaced for the purpose of improvement in resolution, etc.

  • Publication number: 20120000453
Abstract: A firing device of a side-handle baton includes first and second shaft portions, a magazine portion, a trigger housing, a gas chamber portion, and a nozzle portion. Pressure from a CO2 cartridge in the second shaft portion enters and accumulates in the gas chamber portion to push a nozzle. Once a pushbutton of the magazine portion is pressed, ball-shaped bullets in the magazine portion fall into a bore of the first shaft portion, and the magazine portion pushes a trigger in the trigger housing, thus driving a sear to release the nozzle. When a piston rod in the nozzle is freed, the pressure in the gas chamber portion is discharged to fire the bullets. A recoil spring then pushes the nozzle portion back to re-seal the gas chamber portion, allowing pressure to accumulate again in the gas chamber portion, and the sear to retain the nozzle until the next shot.

  • Patent number: 5990126
Abstract: A class of quinolinic sulfide derivatives of formula I are potent and specific antagonists at the strychnine insensitive glycine bitding site on the NMDA receptor complex with an pharmacological advantageous profile. They may be useful in treatment or prevention of neuro-degenerative disorders. Particularly, the compounds included in the present invention are especially useful for minimizing damage of the central nervous system arising as a consequence of ischemic or hypoxic condition such as stroke, hypoglycemia, cerebral ischemia, cardiac arrest, and physical trauma. They are also useful in prevention of chronic neurodegenerative disorders including epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease and Parkinsonism. By virtue of their NMDA receptor antagonist properties, the present compounds may also use as anticonvulsant, analgesic, antidepressant, anxiolytic, and antischizophrenic agent. Formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, and R are defined in specification.
