Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a data stream for providing a three-dimensional (3D) multimedia service and a method and apparatus for receiving the data stream are provided. The generating method includes: generating at least one elementary stream (ES) including video data of each view from a program for providing a two-dimensional (2D) or 3D multimedia service; generating program map table (PMT) information about the program, including reference information about the at least one ES and 3D additional information for identifying and reproducing the video data of each view; and generating at least one transport stream (TS) by multiplexing packetized elementary stream (PES) packets generated by packetizing the at least one ES, and the PMT information.

Abstract: Disclosed are a display apparatus and method for producing image registration thereof. The display apparatus comprising: a receiver which receives a broadcasting signal comprising information about a broadcast image and three-dimensional (3D) information of at least one area of the broadcast image; a signal processor which extracts the 3D information of the at least one area from the received broadcasting signal, registers at least one additional image to the at least one area using the extracted 3D information and outputs an output signal including the registered at least one additional image; and a display unit which displays the broadcasting image output by the signal processor.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for providing and reproducing a three-dimensional (3D) video content, and a computer readable recording medium storing a program to execute the method. The method of providing 3D image content includes: inserting content type information indicating whether the image content is two-dimensional (2D) image content or 3D image content into a reserved region of a Program Map Table (PMT); inserting additional information about the 3D image content into one of an Elementary Stream (ES) descriptor region of the PMT and a reserved region included in a video sequence of the ES; and multiplexing the PMT and the ES of the 3D image content so as to generate a Transport Stream (TS). In an environment in which a content is being reproduced in a contents reproducing apparatus, it is possible to create a playlist according to a user's preference or to reproduce contents conveniently with a single input of a number key without going through several operations, thereby improving user convenience when reproducing contents.
