Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling side-view mirrors are provided. The method includes determining, by a controller, whether a turn signal is input from vehicle information collected while a vehicle is traveling and detecting a traveling speed when a turn signal is input to determine a control mode of side-view mirrors based on the traveling speed of the vehicle. A position of a left or right side-view mirror is then adjusted based on the turn signal when the control mode of the side-view mirrors is set to a lane change mode the position of the left or right side-view mirror is adjusted when the control mode of the side-view mirrors is set to a vehicle turn mode.
