    Abstract: A self-moving robot system may comprise a signal generating device configured to generate a preset signal; a signal detecting device, configured to detect the preset signal and generate a detection result; a signal line configured to radiate or/and receive the preset signal; and a control unit disposed on a self-moving robot, wherein the control unit receives the detection result and controls the self-moving robot to move according to the detection result; one end of the signal line is connected to the signal generating device or/and the signal detecting device; the signal line unidirectionally extends from the end, and the signal line does not constitute a circuitry loop. The system can realize judging a working area and/or guiding returning of the self-moving robot by a non-closed signal line, to thereby simplify arrangement of the border line or guide line, and improve the user experience.

    Abstract: A vacuum chuck is disclosed for holding and positioning wafers more stably and securely. The vacuum chuck includes a supporting assembly having a receiving groove and at least one first vacuum aperture defined in the receiving groove. A seal unit includes a seal ring bulging to form a vacuum trough. The seal ring is fixed in the receiving groove of the supporting assembly and has at least one second vacuum aperture communicating with the first vacuum aperture. A chuck connector fastened with the supporting assembly has at least one vacuum port and at least one vacuum orifice communicating with the vacuum port. At least one vacuum hose connects the first vacuum aperture, the second vacuum aperture with the vacuum orifice and the vacuum port of the chuck connector for evacuating the air of the vacuum trough to hold and position the wafer on the seal ring and the supporting assembly.

    Abstract: The microprocessor based controller for the fractional horsepower actuator motor includes a capacitive power backup system. The motor is used as an actuator and is coupled to an air damper or valve. In the event of a loss of power to the controller, the controller must drive the air damper or valve to a predetermined, failsafe position. The capacitive energy source stores sufficient power to drive the motor and the coupled air damper or valve to the predetermined failsafe position. The controller includes a sensor for determining the presence or absence of power and generating a failsafe control signal. A switch receives the failsafe control signal and passes power from either the main power supply or the capacitive energy storage unit. The controller includes a microprocessor and a memory. During a failsafe operation, the microprocessor drives the motor and hence the air damper or valve to the failsafe position at full power.

    Abstract: An automated method for evaluating image data taken over a sequence of image frames to determine a contour of a left ventricle (LV). The sequence of image frames are converted to digital data that identify a gray scale value for each pixel in each image frame. An initial LV region is estimated based upon training data parameters derived from processing manually drawn contours of the LV in the hearts of other individuals, corresponding to the sequence of image frames being analyzed. Prior to producing the initial estimate, the location of the aortic valve in the sequence of image frames for the patient is determined to serve as a reference. The data derived frown the contours of the LVs for the other hearts are rotated and translated relative to this reference to insure that the training data information corresponds to the position and orientation of the LV being analyzed.
