    Abstract: Disclosed is a network photographing apparatus including a partial encryption function capable of encrypting only a portion of objects included in images. A network photographing apparatus including a partial encryption function, includes an object information extracting unit that receives digital image data from a photographing unit, analyzes a plurality of objects included in the digital image data, and generates object information data; an image compressing unit that processes the digital image data with compression data; and an encryption unit that searches encryption target object information data among the object information data received from the object information extracting unit and generates and sends out the encrypted compression data by encrypting only a part of the compression data, the part corresponding to the encryption target object information data.

    Abstract: A database encryption and query method keeping an order within a bucket partially, which encrypts and stores numeric data in a database, includes calculating a relative value of a plaintext within a bucket to which the plaintext is allocated; generating a first key value by producing a random number within the bucket; generating a second key value for defining a function having a bucket range of the bucket as an input; and changing the relative value based on the first and the second key value with keeping an order of the relative value partially to store the changed relative value. The first key value may be a value of separating order informations on the relative value. Further, the second key value may be a resultant value obtained by applying a mod 2 operation to the bucket size of the bucket.

    Abstract: Provided is a method of generating and searching for a single ternary content addressable memory (TCAM) entry for range search and exact-match search. First, it is determined whether an entry to be added is a range search entry or an exact-match search entry. When the entry is the range search entry, a bit at a predetermined position in the upper m bits corresponding to a range represented by the entry is set to “1” and the remaining bits including lower n bits is set to a “don't care” bit x, based on a range table for representing position information of one of the upper m bits which is set to “1” in ranges. When the entry is the exact-match search entry, the upper m bits is set to “don't care” bit x and the lower n bits is set to the entry value. By generating and searching for a single TCAM entry for a range search and an exact-match search, a space for storing the TCAM entry can be optimized and efficiency thereof can be improved.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating random numbers using digital logic are provided. The apparatus includes a shift register which sequentially moves bit values stored therein, a feedback circuit which performs a predetermined logic operation on the bit values stored in the shift register to generate a feedback signal, an external signal generation circuit which generates an external signal input to the shift register, and an input logic circuit which performs a predetermined logic operation on the feedback signal and the external signal and inputs a result of operation to the shift register.     Abstract: A wireless communication medium includes an antenna, an analog signal processor, a digital signal processor, and a central processing unit & logic module. The antenna transmits and receives a signal to and from an external apparatus. The analog signal processor converts an analog signal to a digital signal, and converts a digital signal to an analog signal. The digital signal processor demodulates the digital signal, detects the start and end of data, and generates a first control signal for determining whether data is transmitted to the external apparatus and a second control signal for perceiving the end of data, blocking the reception of data, modulating data, and determining whether modulated data is transmitted to the external apparatus. The central processing unit & logic module processes data received from and transmitted to the external apparatus. Accordingly, an efficiency of processing a RF signal can be improved.
