  • Publication number: 20070224934
Abstract: Provided are an on-channel repeater and a method thereof. The repeater receives signals on one channel and distributes the signals on the same channel by converting RF signals from a main transmitter into baseband signals; equalizing them in a high-performance equalizer, adding a repeater identifier to them; modulating the baseband signals with the repeater identifier into RF signals. The repeater includes: a receiver for receiving RF signals; a demodulator for demodulating the RF signals into baseband signals; an equalizer for equalizing the baseband signals; an adder for adding a repeater identifier to the baseband signals; a modulator for modulating the baseband signals with the repeater identifier added in the adder into RF signals; and a transmitter for transmitting the RF signals modulated in the modulator. The technology of the present invention is used to form an on-channel repeating network in an arbitrary transmission system including a digital television broadcasting system.

  • Patent number: 7123653
Abstract: The present invention relates to blind decision feedback equalization. The present invention selects one of a filter signal and a quantized signal as an input signal of a feedback filter in the DFE and update the tap coefficient according to the SAG flag f[k] by including a main filtering unit, a SAG flag determining unit and a blind feedback controlling unit. The present invention prevents decrement of a performance caused by an error propagation and also improve a convergence performance in an equalization apparatus and reduce a symbol error rate (SER) at a steady state after converging. In conclusion, the present invention can be used effectively to a receiver in a digital TV, which is required the blind equalizer.

  • Patent number: 7098341
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing haptens for immunoassay of phosphorothioate pesticides, which comprises the steps of reacting O-methyl(ethyl) dichlorothiophosphate with a phenolic compound to obtain O-methyl(ethyl) O-aryl chlorothiophosphate, and reacting the O-(methyl)ethyl O-aryl chlorothiophosphate thus obtained with aminocarboxylic acid to give desired haptens. In accordance with the present invention, haptens having a structure of O-methyl(ethyl) O-aryl N-(carboxyalkyl)phosphoramidothioate or O-methyl(ethyl) O-aryl N-alkyl-N-(carboxyalkyl)phosphoramidothioate can be simply prepared with a high yield by employing two-step processes in a cost-efficient manner.

  • Publication number: 20050094717
Abstract: Provided is a modulation apparatus that can reduce time delay of on-channel repeaters in a terrestrial digital television broadcasting system. The time delay is caused by a filter during the modulation operation in the on-channel repeaters.

  • Publication number: 20040008764
Abstract: Disclosed is a pre-equalizer, a vestigial sideband (VSB) transmission system using the pre-equalizer, and a VSB transmission method. A first transmit signal is stored in a first memory, and a pre-equalizer pre-equalizes the first transmit signal based on a set tap coefficient. A transmitter modulates the pre-equalized first transmit signal, and sends the modulated signal. The first transmit signal is fed back to a receiver, which demodulates the transmitted first transmit signal and stores the demodulated signal as the second transmit signal in a second memory. Subsequently, the pre-equalizer calculates a tap coefficient based on an error value as the difference between the first transmit signal and the second transmit signal, and updates the set tap coefficient based on the calculated tap coefficient.
