Abstract: The present invention provides a laser soldering apparatus and a soldering method, the laser soldering apparatus including: a solder unit for forming a bonding surface by performing the soldering by a laser beam, and comprising at least one nozzle unit for accommodating a solder ball to which the laser beam is irradiated; and a monitoring unit arranged on one side of the solder unit to monitor the irradiation position of the laser beam, wherein the irradiation position of the laser beam irradiated from the solder unit is adjusted to be irradiated to the central point of the nozzle unit or the solder ball according to the monitoring result of the monitoring unit.

Abstract: A system for providing an adaptive antenna system in a mobile communications device is disclosed. An array of antenna elements is provided. A sensing component is disposed along a surface of the mobile communications device, proximal to the array of antenna elements. A processor component is communicatively coupled to the sensing component. An implementation element is communicatively coupled to the processor component, and to the array of antenna elements. The sensor component generates data characterizing the proximity of a foreign object to the array of antenna elements; which the processing component uses to determine a configuration for the array of antenna elements. The implementation element modifies the array of antenna elements, responsive to the configuration determined by the processor component.

Abstract: There is disclosed a wireless communication device having battery authentication and associated method. The wireless communication device comprises a battery compartment and a battery authenticator capable of authenticating an authentic battery received in the battery compartment and capable of rejecting an unauthentic battery received in the battery compartment. A battery authentication server is capable of receiving a rejection notification message from the wireless communication device and capable of transmitting a rejection reply message to the wireless communication device.

Abstract: A software-defined repeater for use in a wireless network. The software-defined repeater comprises: 1) a first software-defined transceiver that receives forward channel signals transmitted by a base station and transmits reverse channel signals to the base station according to a first air interface standard; and 2) a second software-defined transceiver that receives reverse channel signals transmitted by mobile stations and transmits forward channel signals to the mobile stations according to a second air interface standard.
