The monitoring pattern includes a test pattern with line shapes arranged in parallel and spaced apart at predetermined linewidths and intervals, and an interconnection layer connected to the test pattern, where the test pattern is adapted to be charged with a specific potential to be displayed as a voltage contrast image when scanned with an electron beam.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus includes a heater mounting unit that mounts a heater on a reflecting plate in a simple manner and allows an internal construction of the cooking apparatus to be simple. The cooking apparatus also includes a cabinet, at least one heater mounted in the cabinet, a grill unit positioned on a top of the cabinet to allow food to be cooked while being laid thereon, at least one reflecting plate mounted behind the heater to reflect heat radiated toward a position behind the heater, and at least one elastic mounting unit to mount the heater on the reflecting plate through an elastic deformation thereof. Accordingly, an efficiency of production of the cooking apparatus may be improved, and the cooking apparatus may have a simple internal construction.

The heating units are arranged between the grill unit and the heat reflecting unit. The heat reflecting unit includes inner and outer reflecting plates that are inclined at certain angles to reflect heat radiated from the heating units toward the grill unit. The cooling fan is positioned in an inner space of the heat reflecting unit. The heat reflecting unit has front, rear, and side plates, which are provided with a plurality of through holes, so that air passes through the inner space of the heat reflecting unit.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus capable of uniformly heating and cooking food laid on a grill unit using thermal energy radiated from a heating unit, includes a cabinet opened at a top surface thereof to provide an opening over which the food to be cooked is laid. A grill unit is seated in the opening of the cabinet so as to support the food over the opening. A heating unit is installed in the cabinet at a position offset from an effective grill part of the grill unit so that a front surface of the heating unit faces the grill unit to transmit thermal energy to the grill unit supporting the food laid thereon. The cooking apparatus also includes a heat blocking member to block a part of the thermal energy transmitted to an edge of the grill unit, thus allowing the thermal energy to be uniformly transmitted to the food laid on the grill unit. Thus, the cooking apparatus of the present invention allows food laid close to the edge and food laid on a central portion of the grill unit to be uniformly heated and cooked.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus which allows an interior of a cabinet thereof to be easily cleaned. The cooking apparatus includes a cabinet. The cabinet has an opening in a top surface defining a heating space. A heating unit to heat food is installed in the heating space and heat is transmitted from the heating unit to the food. A grill unit is seated on the top surface of the cabinet to support the food over the opening. A contamination preventing unit is installed in the heating space to prevent an inside surface of the cabinet from being contaminated with material dropping from the food. The cooking apparatus of the present invention guides splashed material back to a tray when the material collides with the tray splashes. The contamination preventing unit may be removed from the heating space, enabling a user to easily clean the contamination preventing unit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a circuit and a method for driving a DC microwave oven. The circuit for driving a DC microwave oven according to the present invention includes: an inverting means to convert DC into AC by a driving pulse; a high voltage transformer to transform the AC from the inverting means, and supply the transformed AC to a magnetron; a pulse driving means to generate the driving pulse; and an over-current detecting means to detect an electric current which is supplied to the inverting means from a DC power source, and output an over-current detect signal if the detected current is determined as an over-current, so as to avoid the generation of the driving pulse by the pulse driving means. According to the present invention, the driving of the magnetron could be stopped when a malfunction of an interlock switch caused by an error or the over-current from the DC power source is detected, and circuit elements can be advantageously prevented from being damaged by the over-current.

Abstract: A microwave oven includes a tray holding unit which stably holds both a cooking tray and a tray guide at their original positions regardless of vibration and impact applied to the cooking tray and/or tray guide. Abstract: A microwave oven, is designed such that its switches accurately sense whether a door is open or not when opening or closing the door, thus preventing microwaves from leaking out. The microwave oven includes a hook unit, a hook locking unit, a locking step, and a sensing switch. The hook unit is mounted to the door functioning to open or close a cabinet. The hook locking unit is installed in the cabinet to engage with the hook unit. The locking step is provided in the hook locking unit to catch the hook unit when the hook unit enters the hook locking unit. The sensing switch is installed in the hook locking unit to sense whether the hook unit enters the hook locking unit. A screw holding unit is provided on a predetermined portion of the locking step to hold a setscrew which functions to mount the hook locking unit to the cabinet.
