  • Patent number: 7622112
Abstract: Monoclonal antibody reagents that recognize the SARS-coronavirus (SARS-HCoV) are needed urgently. In this report we describe the development and immunochemical characterization of mAbs against the SARS-HCoV based upon their specificity, binding requirements, and biological activity. Initial screening by ELISA, using highly purified virus as the coating antigen, resulted in the selection of seventeen mAbs. Five mAbs exhibited Western immunoblot reactivity with the denatured spike protein, of which two demonstrated the ability to neutralize SARS-HCoV in vitro. Another four Western immunoblot-negative mAbs also neutralize the virus. These antibodies will be useful for the development of diagnostic tests, pathogenicity and vaccine studies.

  • Publication number: 20060255359
Abstract: An LED light source model has a substrate, at least one bare LED chip, a transparent layer and an optical light collecting element. The substrate has a top face, a bottom face and at least one chip cup defined on the top face. The at least one LED chip is mounted in the at least one chip cup. The transparent layer is formed on the top face to seal the at least one chip cup. The optical light collecting element is mounted on the top face to collect the light from each chip cup to increase the light intensity. A plurality of fins or recesses are formed or defined on the bottom face to increase a heat dissipation area. When each bare LED chip is in operation mode, heat from the bare LED chip will be conducted to the bottom face and then dissipate to the ambient air quickly.

  • Publication number: 20060255352
Abstract: An LED light source model has a substrate, at least one bare LED chip, a preformed phosphor lamina with at least one inner opening, and an optical light collecting element. The substrate has a top face, a bottom face and at least one chip mounting area defined on the top face. The frame is mounted on the top face and the inner opening corresponds to the chip mounting area. The bare LED chip is mounted in the chip mounting area. The preformed phosphor lamina is mounted over the bare LED chip and mounted in the corresponding inner opening. The optical light collecting element is mounted on the top face to collect the light from each preformed phosphor lamina to increase the light intensity. Each preformed phosphor lamina is preformed to ensure that two opposite faces are flat, so the light intensity from all of the bare LED chips is even.

  • Publication number: 20060070022
Abstract: A technique for managing a web page having at least one URL supporting search engine preferred Universal Resource Locator (URL) links through URL mapping and shadow page support is provided. Because a search engine crawler typically does not want to crawl through dynamic URLs, a search engine friendly page would typically contain static URLs. Support is provided for obtaining the web page containing the at least one URL link and determining the at least one URL link to be of a dynamic format then converting the dynamic format of the at least one URL link into a static format. Next, a shadow page of the web page is created, containing the static format link, and placed in the shadow page repository. A web application server may then enabled to provide a URL mapping function to convert such a static URL to a desired dynamic format, based on a provided mapping file. Web administrators or developers may then define an entry in such a mapping file for each URL key that needs to be mapped.

  • Patent number: 6142766
Abstract: A piezoelectric lighter incorporates with a safety device which includes a pusher cap slidably mounted on a pusher cavity of a casing in a vertically movable manner and attached to a top end of a piezoelectric unit; a locking member fitting on an upper portion of the casing, wherein the locking member having a stopper latch locking up the pusher cap for blocking the pusher cap in a vertical manner. The safety device further includes a resilient unit, which is articulated on an axle mounted on the upper portion of the casing, normally urging and retaining the locking member locking up the pusher cap so as to block any downwardly movement of the pusher cap and thus prevent the ignition operation of the piezoelectric unit. Thereby, in order to ignite the piezoelectric lighter, the locking member must be pressed transversely inward to move the latch of the locking member out of the edge of the cap body of the pusher cap.
